Senior Content Acquisition Manager

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Content Acquisition Manager to join the PlayStation team that runs PlayStation Plus – the world’s largest gaming subscription service.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a global team that drives significant impact for players, our partners, and PlayStation, in a fun, fast-paced environment.

This role requires a mix of working across multiple complex projects with limited instructions, critical thinking, strong execution, commercial-mindedness, excellent storytelling, and a proven ability to partner optimally across multiple teams and divisions. The day-to-day work requires negotiating and securing the games that power PlayStation Plus to drive player engagement and maintain subscriber momentum.

The ideal person for this role will have proven experience in influencing senior stakeholders, an understanding of the gaming industry, lead workstreams effectively in an environment that’s constantly evolving, and will have helped drive successful businesses to sustainable results in the past.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Acquisition: Work with teams to identify games and sign deals that engage players and deliver outstanding results, while also creating substantial value for publishers and supporting the company’s commercial success

  • Account Management: Drive the PS Plus relationship with strategic accounts (through account management or directly) to secure major, diverse content with proven commercial success that leads to strong engagement across all PS Plus tiers

  • Collaborative Partnership: Maintain strong network of stakeholders across multiple business areas, including content strategy, engagement, analytics, sales, marketing, and third-party relations, to align strategies, optimize outcomes, and support internal initiatives

  • Commercial Insight: Apply customer, commercial, and publisher insights to inform and refine content offers

  • Long-Term Planning: Collaborate with third-party teams to build long-term business plans that align with the broader PlayStation strategy and build stronger partner relationships

  • Budget Management: Support a multi-million-dollar budget, landing the content that determines how we maximize resources, ROI, and growth

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in content acquisition, commercial, and customer offers in gaming, apps, video, music, or subscription services

  • Communication Skills: Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, as well as partners

  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of the digital gaming landscape, key players, and competitive offerings

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills. Ability to break down complex data and present it clearly and actionably

  • Team Collaboration: Proven experience working in high-performing teams, ideally in an international or remote working structure

  • Leadership Skills: While this role will not be a people manager, the successful candidate will be highly autonomous and responsible for the results of projects and initiatives

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$165,100 - $247,700 USD
