We are seeking an experienced, driven, and solutions-focused Tour Director to lead all aspects of client touring operations. This individual will oversee tour forecasting, inventory planning, logistics, road staff management, and client service - ensuring a high-touch, full-service experience across US and Canadian tours. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, a calm demeanor under pressure, and deep experience in the touring merchandise space.
What you'll do:
Tour Planning & Forecasting
- Develop and execute tour merchandise forecasts based on historical sales, demographics, and venue-specific data.
- Partner with internal teams to coordinate timelines for product development, production, and delivery.
- Collaborate with artist’s management to align projections with tour schedules and creative direction.
- Monitor and adjust product line performance to maximize sales and minimize overages.
Road & Inventory Management
- Oversee all aspects of road inventory including planning, warehouse coordination, and on-tour stock levels.
- Ensure all inventory is accurately tracked in systems such as AtVenu and Excel.
- Train, supervise, and support road staff and tour representatives to ensure consistency in execution and reporting.
- Travel to select live events to oversee execution, train staff, and uphold presentation standards.
Logistics & Fulfillment
- Lead all logistics related to US and Canadian touring including freight, customs, and venue coordination.
- Execute timely tour pulls and shipments, including essential vending equipment (POS systems, signage, displays, etc).
- Maintain vendor and freight partner relationships to ensure cost-effective, timely, and reliable service.
Settlements, Financials & Reporting
- Collect nightly settlements from venues and road teams, ensuring timely, accurate reporting to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date financial tracking across all shows and routings.
- Audit expenses, monitor float and cash flow, and report discrepancies or issues to finance and leadership.
- Provide regular summaries of tour performance, risks, and opportunities.
Client & Internal Collaboration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client needs during tour cycles.
- Liaise between Artist Relations, Account Management, eCom, Production, and Finance to ensure alignment and execution.
- Proactively communicate feedback from the road to inform future product development and process improvements.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients, Account Managers, and leadership, ensuring expectations are exceeded at every step.
Tour Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, hire, and train touring staff and local vendors as needed to ensure quality, professionalism, and brand alignment.
- Contribute to and maintain SOPs for all tour-related processes to ensure consistency across clients and teams.
- Meet regularly with internal teams and clients to review performance, identify areas of opportunity, and resolve challenges.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of experience in tour merchandise operations
- Proficiency in AtVenu and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills with clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Experience managing tour reps, vendors, and US / Canadian logistics
- High attention to detail, strong time management, and organizational habits
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments with composure and focus
- Strategic and creative problem-solving mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
- Willingness to travel when necessary and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Passion for live music, artist collaboration, and fan experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume merchandise company
- Background interfacing with artist teams, venue contacts, and senior stakeholders
- Familiarity with tax compliance, local vendor sourcing, and Canadian customs processes

California Pay Range
$80,000 - $95,000 USD
