Senior Artists & Repertoire Manager
As the Senior A&R Manager will be accountable and responsible for the management of artists on the Domestic roster, including talent scouting and artist development.
- Managing A&R department workflow.
- Talent Scouting and Artist DevelopmentIdentify and discover promising musical talent through various channels such as live performances, online platforms,recommendations, and industry contacts.
- Lead negotiations with artists, managers, or agents to secure recording and management contracts.
- Develop and present compelling offers that align with the company strategic objectives and artist's career goals.
- Oversee the development and execution of artist projects from beginning to release, ensuring alignment with timelines,budgets, and quality standards.
- Build strong relationships with artists, producers, composer and industry people to foster trust, collaboration, and mutual respect.
- Develop strategic plans and recommendations for artist signings, repertoire development, and market positioning.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including royalty payments, advance recoupment, and rights management.
- Engaging with third-party editors for editing material including lyric videos, cover art, edited photos and music videos.
- Liaising with music video producers and finding potential production companies to work together on upcoming music video releases.
- Finding new music and potential tracks for artists.
- Any other duties assigned by the Company and/or GM, Malaysia from time to time.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, multi-media, music business, digital business, mathematic, business management or any related field is preferred, but not mandate.

- At least 4 - 5 years of progressive A&R experience at a record label or other related media companies.
- Superb written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of the music & entertainment marketplace.
- Knowledge of the music streaming landscape.
- Solid understanding / interest in lifestyle verticals and Urban culture.
- Social Media Obsessed: Demonstrated knowledge of and professional planning and executing experience with social platforms (Facebook, IG, TikTok, Twitter, Youtube, Google, Line etc.).
- Must be able to accept changes readily, both in job responsibilities, as well as in the work environment, and have the ability to be flexible in adapting to re-prioritized tasks.
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
- Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to speak in forums, meetings and presentations.
- Experienced and skilled at acting as a liaison between the artists/artist management and the label using persuasion, empathy, communication and trust is a plus.
- Must be highly organized and capable of developing and keeping to a project timeline.
- Creative, self-starter with exceptional follow-up skills.
