  • Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of developing tools for the NPR pipeline
  • Advanced experience programming in Python, OSL and C++ with a high level of technical ability using Katana, Houdini and Maya.
  • Experience with Nuke’s Python APIs, NDK, gizmos, BlinkScript, and compositing workflows
  • A minimum of 3 years creating libraries, custom plugins, and UI tools for VFX studios
  • Knowledge of UI design and toolkits, specifically QT/PyQT
  • Knowledge of compositing, lighting and studio pipeline development
  • Experience with UNIX / Linux / git
  • Experience with USD
  • Creativity, self-sufficiency, and drive.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of different artistic styles and mediums like watercolour, gouache, graphite, inking. Passionate about design, drawing, painting or photography.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $45.34 to $65.10/hr. Benefits are per company policy: which include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, standard increases as applicable. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.

Please note that you must be able to provide a demo reel that illustrates your relevant artistic and technical experience that also includes the nuances for this specific role.
