Senior Manager of Product Analytics
We are seeking a strategically minded Senior Manager of Product Analytics to lead our Product Analytics team. This role plays a critical role in ensuring our products drive meaningful customer and business outcomes by leveraging advanced analytics and strategic insights. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader who can generate actionable insights at speed and scale, eliminate inefficiencies, and influence product strategy and innovation. This role will directly partner with VP-level leadership across Product, Engineering, Design, Finance, and other key stakeholders, offering significant opportunities for impact across the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead and develop a team of analysts and data scientists, fostering a high-performance culture of curiosity, strategic thinking, and collaboration.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design leaders to embed data into the product development lifecycle, ensuring decisions are backed by rigorous analysis and insights.
- Develop scalable measurement frameworks to assess and optimize product performance, customer experience, and business impact.
- Design and implement robust data models using dbt and other modern data stack tools to ensure accurate, consistent, and accessible data foundations for analytics and reporting across the organization.
- Analyze customer behavior and product performance to uncover opportunities for improving user experience and driving business growth.
- Design and execute statistically sound A/B tests, experiments, and other causal inference approaches to measure the impact of product changes and strategic initiatives.
- Define and operationalize key success metrics to create a unified understanding of product performance across the organization.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to shape product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and go-to-market decisions.
- Drive best practices in experimentation, statistical rigor, and data storytelling to ensure high-quality analyses and actionable insights.
- Translate complex data into compelling narratives, effectively influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and executive teams to align on priorities and ensure analytics is leveraged effectively across the company.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience working in product analytics with a strong business acumen.
- Proficiency in SQL, dbt, statistical analysis, data modeling, and A/B testing methodologies. Machine learning experience is a plus.
- Strong expertise with modern business intelligence and analytics platforms, with flexibility to work with various tools (e.g., PowerBI, Metabase, Google Analytics, Heap, Amplitude, Looker).
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations for executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence senior leadership.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing analytics teams.
- Experience in consumer technology, SaaS, marketplace, or POS-related industries is a plus.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
7+ years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence, or data science with at least 3 years as a direct manager of Data Scientists or Analysts.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field).
- MBA is a bonus, but not a requirement.
Compensation:
- Our base pay range starts at $150,000 -$200,000 for this role
- Please note the salary range listed is just one component of a competitive compensation package which includes a company stock plan
