Spotter Studio is a SaaS software suite that empowers top YouTube Creators to accelerate their business and unleash their full creative potential. As Spotter Studio YouTube Strategist and Host based in Los Angeles, you will own the growth strategy and the day-to-day operations of the Spotter Studio YouTube channel, ensuring it becomes a go-to destination for creator education, insights and collaboration focused on ideation. This is a 6 month contract position.

What You’ll Do

Channel Operations & Strategy

  • Scale the Spotter Studio YouTube channel, overseeing content scheduling, publishing, optimization, and performance tracking.
  • Appear as talent and host for some of the channel’s videos
  • Oversee and manage contractors contributing to the growth and success of the channel
  • Oscillate between executing shoots in a dedicated studio space at Spotter HQ in Culver City and working in remote-first formats 
  • Develop and execute a data-driven growth strategy, ensuring alignment with Spotter Studio’s brand and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Spotter’s partners such as Colin & Samir, Jay Alto, Aprilynne Alter and others to shape the channel’s voice, themes, and content approach.
  • Own audience development efforts, ensuring consistent growth in subscribers, views, and engagement.

Collaboration & Creator Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with professional YouTubers, securing guest appearances, collaborations, and cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Act as a conduit to the wider creator ecosystem, keeping Spotter Studio embedded in creator conversations, trends, and events.
  • Coordinate with Spotter’s internal teams, ensuring synergy between the channel and broader marketing or product initiatives.

Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor key YouTube performance metrics (CTR, watch time, retention, audience growth, etc.) and continuously refine content strategy.
  • Optimize titles, thumbnails, and video formats based on data insights.
  • Conduct A/B testing and stay ahead of YouTube algorithm changes.

Who You Are

  • YouTube Expert: Proven track record and 5+ years of experience managing and growing successful YouTube channels for brands, media companies, or creators.
  • Comfortable on camera: You have experience and feel comfortable on camera, especially in group podcast style settings.  
  • Data-Driven Storyteller: You know how to balance creative intuition with analytics to optimize content for engagement and growth.
  • Connected in the Creator Economy: You have established relationships with YouTubers and industry insiders and understand the landscape deeply.
  • Strategic & Hands-On: You thrive at both high-level planning and tactical execution, ensuring every aspect of the channel runs smoothly.
  • Creative & Collaborative: You enjoy working with top-tier creators, managing a team of creatives and aligning on vision while driving operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a fast-growing or high-profile YouTube channel.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube SEO, algorithm trends, and content optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with tools like TubeBuddy, VidIQ, or YouTube Analytics.
  • Passion for the creator economy and helping YouTubers succeed.
  • Skilled podcast style interviewer
