Business Operations Manager

What You’ll Do:
- Lead top-priority business projects related to strategy and operations.
- Conduct research to guide expansion strategy into new subject areas.
- Lead new project initiatives from concept to implementation.
- Evaluate new business delivery models (e.g., growth of new business lines).
- Define new B2B domestic and international service offerings and train relevant stakeholders on implementation.
- Collaborate with Operations leadership on designing new product features to serve customers better, improve client retention, and protect revenue sources.
- Support CEO and Board fundraising and due diligence initiatives.
- Serve as designated business partner for Learning Experience organization, providing analytical support related to learning experience design, content development, program success, and product management operations.
- May telecommute five days per week from within commuting distance of San Francisco, CA.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Cognitive or Learning Science or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in a business operations role.
- Prior experience must include three (3) years in/with: data analysis using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, and Looker; financial modeling and forecasting income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows; market research, including competitor benchmarking and opportunity analysis for new product ventures; executive presentations; strategic planning; building robust systems, processes, frameworks, and operating models to support periodic business reporting and organizational structure design; project managing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Prior experience must include two (2) years in/with: supporting strategy and operations development in a start-up environment; assessing strategic decision-making for mergers & acquisitions (M&A), venture capital fundraising, and business investment, designing and developing long-term competitive business strategies for venture-backed companies in the scale-up phase.
- Must have prior demonstrated proficiency (any amount) gained through experience, internship, or academic coursework in/with: Netsuite; understanding and applying learning science principles to educational design, content operations, program success, and new product development.
- Salary: $147,000-$162,000/year, M-F, 40 hours/week.
