Spring Health is expanding its Analytics Engineering team. Analytics Engineering sits within the Business Intelligence organization and owns the core reporting infrastructure that empowers data scientists, data analysts, and business users across the company. As a Senior Analytics Engineer I, you will build robust and scalable data models, ensure metric consistency, and create documentation that enables downstream teams to confidently use trusted, well-structured data. Success in this role will require close collaboration with cross-functional partners, proactively influencing outcomes, and building trust through impactful solutions that support critical business KPIs.

By creating consistent and reliable data models, you will ensure that the entire company is empowered with insights that drive decision-making and support our mission of removing barriers to mental health.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and maintain dbt-based data models and overall dbt project infrastructure to support key business metrics, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment across teams.
- Work with data analysts, data scientists, and upstream data engineering partners to define and deliver on shared goals. Align with stakeholders to ensure their requirements translate into impactful data solutions.
- Build comprehensive, accessible documentation for data models, ensuring that downstream teams can easily access and confidently use trusted metrics.
- Lead initiatives to monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data quality, ensuring data is auditable, reliable, and fit for purpose.
- Provide mentorship on SQL, dbt, and data modeling best practices, supporting both junior team members and cross-functional partners.
- Solve complex, loosely scoped problems in ambiguous domains, contributing to high-leverage modeling work that unlocks impact for downstream users.
- Ensure critical business metrics are supported by well-documented, performant dbt models that enable consistent and reliable decision-making.

- Stakeholders recognize the Analytics Engineering team as a trusted partner that proactively addresses data needs and helps identify future opportunities for improvement.
What we expect from you:
- Passion for changing the face of mental health care and Spring Health’s mission to remove all barriers to mental health resonates with you
- 5+ years of working experience working with data, data visualization, and dashboarding tools
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, dbt, and data modeling. Strong experience with cloud-based environments like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Proficiency in using BI reporting tools like Tableau, Looker, Sigma, etc to build dashboards and visualize data
- Proven ability to work with diverse teams, translating stakeholder needs into scalable solutions while fostering cross-functional alignment.
- Exceptional communication skills, adapting your approach to effectively engage with audiences from junior analysts to senior executives.
- Strong ability to identify and resolve root causes of data discrepancies, building solutions that ensure long-term reliability and consistency.
- Dedication to creating documentation, sharing knowledge, and mentoring others to drive better data practices across the organization.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, independently managing priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering high-impact results.
The target base salary range for this position is $159,100 - $170,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
