Position Summary    

SRS Acquiom is currently searching for a Thought Leadership Director for our Thought Leadership department.

The Thought Leadership Director will act as an internal industry analyst across all lines of business. This role involves collecting and analyzing experience, knowledge, and data from deals to support the creation of relevant and useful thought leadership. The director will partner with SRSA subject-matter experts and build a resource-rich toolkit for effective writing and presenting, aimed at strengthening brand credibility and awareness.

As part of this work, the director will identify gaps in existing content and its utilization. They will also cultivate VIP client relationships by delivering tailored presentations, exclusive thought leadership, meaningful follow-up, and other practical tools.

In addition, the director will participate in cross-group collaboration, drawing on SRSA’s expertise across different areas of M&A to produce educational content for clients.

This role is fully remote within the Continental United States and reports to our Senior Director, Thought Leadership.

The salary range for this position is between $140k and $160k, depending on level of experience.

Primary Responsibilities    

  • Author, edit, and advocate for thought leadership, including studies, white papers, articles, etc. Coordinate with subject matter experts regarding the same, partnering with the Marketing and Content teams to ensure thought leadership adheres to our quality and brand standards.
  • Partner with the Marketing Team to develop a deep understanding of our key audience segments and personas.
  • Participate in thought leadership content audits to assess the health and performance of our thought leadership content library, determine gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Play a key role in development and production of SRSA data studies, including the deal terms study and supplements thereto, claims study, life sciences study, and others in support of our content marketing strategy.
  • Collect, interpret and analyze available data for thought leadership projects, including on data points that are not formally collected currently. Partner with internal experts to turn data and insights into content that drives engagement with our targeted personas.
  • Participate in client presentations, conferences, webinars, panels and other public speaking events.
  • Represent SRSA in appropriate press appearances and interviews as requested by the Marketing Team.
  • Support Business Development through, among other things, answering data requests and other questions from potential customers and referrals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Juris Doctor or local equivalent, in addition to successfully passing the bar exam and having permission to practice law in any US state.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in relevant fields such as legal practice, financial services, consulting, or similar industries
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and synthesize complex datasets into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated ability to author, edit, and manage thought leadership materials such as white papers, data studies, articles, and presentations.
  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to tailor messaging to senior executives and client audiences
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy, quality, and brand consistency across all deliverables
  • Experience delivering client presentations and representing an organization at conferences, webinars, panels, or press engagements
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with subject-matter experts, marketing, and business development teams
  • Solid project management skills with experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Desired Characteristics    

  • Advanced degree in business, finance, economics, communications, or related field (beyond JD or equivalent)
  • Prior experience in M&A, private equity, or corporate development environments
  • Previous media experience, including press interviews or thought leadership representation in external outlets
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools or platforms that support the development of content-rich client materials
