About the Role:
The test execution team’s primary function is to vet the iteration of our autonomous development safely, compliantly and methodically. We are positioned between our engineering teams and our operating fleet ensuring all changes to our systems pass our rigorous testing at our closed course facilities before approving operations on any public roadways.
This position is located in New Stanton, PA.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing of autonomous vehicles in a closed course setting and public roadways.
- Collaborate with Commercial Driver's License holders and engineering personnel to ensure alignment of testing procedures and reporting.
- Manage multiple test sets and tasks with minimal supervision.
- Produce concise and targeted test summaries and reports.
- Engage in effective communication and coordination with both internal and external teams.
- Uphold a culture of safety.
- Enhance the autonomy product through the execution of stress testing and the generation of succinct reports.
- Provide constructive feedback regarding system and vehicle performance.
- Execute missions efficiently, balancing quality with meticulous attention to detail.
- Manage time effectively and undertake other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Preferred SAE L2-4 autonomous vehicle testing experience, ideally Class 8 trucks.
- A clean driving record, capable of clearing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Functional understanding of computing systems (PC/Mac/Linux).
- Working knowledge of CLI navigation of computer systems.
- Experience executing test plans in the realms of perception, prediction, motion planning, motion control, data ingest and software deployment.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in any field of study (completed or currently pursuing).
