Senior Accountant - Client Accounting Services

As a Senior Accountant in our Client Accounting Services (CAS) group, you will be a valued member of our team and will build relationships with your outsourcing clients. The difference between the CAS group and the OAS group is the ERPs they use and the clients they serve. Feel free to apply to both positions if interested but note this position requires experience with either Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint.

This is a remote position that can work from anywhere within the United States. 

What you’ll do at SN: 

  • Provide recurring daily/weekly transactional assists to clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card import, and consultant invoice management.
  • Knowledge of the entire accounting cycle from data entry to compilation of financial statements
  • Provide month-end closing service to clients, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliation, fixed asset tracking, loan accounting
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements 
  • Assist Clients in the complete project cycle; to include project entry, billing and project related reporting. 
  • Ability to reconcile financial discrepancies by researching and analyzing accounting data. 
  • A problem solver for both the client and SN CAS. Identify the root cause of an issue and propose a solution to resolve it. 
  • Participate in the on-boarding process of new CAS clients. 
  • Always look for ways to help our clients and the firm improve processes and profitability and communicate suggestions to appropriate parties. 
  • Embrace the SN Way of becoming our client’s most trusted advisor, creating client delight, and meeting service standards. 
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with all client interactions. 

Leadership 

  • Provide guidance to teammates, be approachable to any questions/inquiries, and ultimately help the team be successful 
  • Collaboration with internal team and client to complete tasks 
  • Ability to manage client projects with minimal oversite 

What you may have done before 

  • Been a full cycle accountant at an Architecture or Engineering firm utilizing Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint as your ERP

What it takes to be a Senior Accountant: 

  • Proficiency in Deltek Vision and/or Vantagepoint Billing 
    • Provide recurring daily/weekly transactional assists to clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card import, and consultant invoice management.
    • Knowledge of the entire accounting cycle from data entry to compilation of financial statements
    • Provide month-end closing service to clients, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliation, fixed asset tracking, loan accounting
    • Preparation of monthly financial statements 
  • 3+ years of experience in fully cycle Accounting at or above a staff accountant level 
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred 
  • Experience at an Architecture, Engineering or Construction firm
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in appropriate manner 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities 
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels and practice areas within the organization

  • Stage 3 (Behavioral & Technical Interview) with a member of our HR team and a technical interview more focused on your accounting skills

Salary: The salary range for this position is an estimate of $75,000 - $90,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
