About the Position
St. Anne’s-Belfield School seeks a part-time Upper School Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role relies on someone who collaborates effectively with members of the Upper School World Language Department and the Upper School Faculty as a whole. The ideal candidate is a competent educator who can challenge and support our highest level of Spanish language learners (post-AP level) as well as students in their third year of language study. This teacher’s responsibilities include teaching two sections of Spanish 5 Honors and 1 section of Spanish 3. The teacher will collaborate with the lead teacher of Spanish 3 and the department chair to ensure a language learning experience that aligns with the goals and practices of the World Language program. Ideal candidates have a master's degree in Spanish, foreign language education, or a related field. Classroom teaching experience, strong communication and classroom management skills, and the ability to joyfully teach motivated high school students are required. Proficiency with Canvas, our learning management system, will be helpful.
This position may be combined with Residential Life work, substitute teaching and/or other part-time work like our after-school program or coaching. Room and board plus a stipend would be part of the compensation package for a qualified teacher to join our boarding program.
Schedule: approximately 20 hours per week
