 Role:

As a Quality Engineer - you will play a pivotal role in elevating our quality practices across customer-facing event management workflows, booking and registration experiences, operational administration, product integrations, and complex distributed systems. You will be an expert within our engineering organization, deeply understanding product behaviour, customer journeys, business rules, and the systems that support seamless conference and event experiences. This role will balance hands-on individual contributor responsibilities with leading, influencing, and coaching your peers.

This individual contributor role is for someone who is passionate about seeing systems holistically, has a strong vision for product quality, and is eager to drive the highest standards of customer experience, functional correctness, usability, accessibility, reliability, performance, and release confidence. You will leverage your deep understanding of SaaS product behaviour, end-to-end workflows, integrations, environments, and customer operations to guide and influence our development process.

Your role is not to manage a team, but to be a quality champion who partners directly with developers, product managers, designers, support, implementation, and customer- facing teams. You will help teams anticipate risk, clarify expected behaviour, validate business logic, protect the customer experience, and build more robust, scalable, and reliable conference and event products.

At the core of this role is a strong focus on customer experience; success means our  platform behaves predictably, is easy to use, and enables customers to plan, configure, manage, and deliver events with confidence.

What You Will Own:

  1. Own and drive end-to-end testing strategy for customer-facing Conference & Events product experiences, operational workflows, integrations, and distributed systems, proactively identifying product behaviour risks, usability gaps, workflow defects, regression risk.
  2. Define and champion product quality standards for functional correctness, customer experience, usability, accessibility and consistency.
  3. Design and execute validation strategies across the Conference and events, including bookings, attendee registration, room and resource allocation, communications and operational administration for customer workflows.
  4. Partner with Product, Design and Engineering from ideation through delivery to ensure acceptance criteria, personas, customer journeys, test data, edge cases, non-functional expectations, and quality gates reflect real customer operations and the intended product experience.
  5. Build pragmatic automated checks and test frameworks for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end workflow validation using common product and quality engineering tools.
  6. Champion shift-left quality culture by mentoring developers, product managers, and designpartners on testing principles, behavioural specifications, clear acceptance criteria, earlyvalidation, fast feedback loops, and production-quality observability.
  7. Work effectively with ambiguity, proactively designing quality solutions based on evidence when clear requirements, behaviour definitions, customer workflow expectations, or quality baselines do not yet exist.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive software engineering or quality engineering with deep focus on quality in complex, distributed system environments.
  • Proven track record as an individual contributor with strong quality mindset and ability to influence technical direction through innovative, pragmatic, and evidence-based approaches.
  •  Deep hands-on experience working with web-based products, including front-end behaviour, API, service integration and functional end-to-end testing.
  •  Strong experience building test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress from the ground up
  • Practical experience integrating automated tests and quality checks into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, Buildkite, or similar platforms.
  •  Experience defining deployment and release quality gates, including test suite selection, environment readiness checks.
  •  Problem-solving skills with talent for root cause analysis of complex system.
  •  Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills to effectively guide and influence engineering peers, product managers, and business stakeholders through deep technical expertise and strategic quality insights.
  •  Genuine curiosity and passion for understanding product architecture, user experience flows, customer workflows, analytics use cases, and the business impact of engineering and data decisions.

Reasons to join our team:

  • Opportunity to be a part of a well-established, high-performance company that has been in business for over 30+ years
  • Full benefits including health care, paid time off, and others
  • A supportive team environment with emphasis on learning and development opportunities
  • Our Promise: You will learn, grow, and be appreciated for your impact and contributions.
  • Z-Factor: Our most celebrated value, you will work with a team of caring, high-performing, and passionate people who have fun supporting our vision, innovation, and continuous improvement.
