
Retail Junior Buyer
Job Description
The retail junior buyer is responsible for administrative support for all purchasing activity within our Maryland, New Jersey and Ohio markets.
Job Responsibilities
• Builds purchase orders and/or creates orders in Leaflink, Leaftrade or excel menus
• Helps investigate inventory and pricing /costing control issues with retail
• Verifies order paperwork including testing results, licensing, invoices and manifests
• Manages order documentation including order trackers
• Communicates with vendors regarding delivery or order concerns, incorrect deliveries, rejections, past due or overdue invoices
• Ensures accuracy of all invoices, items, and costs prior to orders being delivered
• Communicates delivery schedules to retail stores and helps coordinate logistics
• Acts in a customer service role to retail for any administrative process inside of 3rd party procurement
• Actively builds positive relationships with retail inventory managers, associates and vendors
Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years in cannabis retail or purchasing
• Experience with Excel, Sharepoint, METRC, LeafTrade/LeafLink and Dutchie
• Ability to use the computer.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage high stress situations and to be flexible and adaptable when required.
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
• At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
• Proper employment documentation.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends, if requested.
• Experience and knowledge in horticulture and/or agriculture preferred.
• Willingness to travel to events, vendor meetings, new store openings, etc.
Physical Demands
• Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, or walking for extended periods.
Education
• Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent required.

Maryland Pay Range
$45,000 - $45,000 USD
