Employer Brand Content Specialist

Stratolaunch is seeking a creative, strategic, and highly collaborative Employer Brand & Content Specialist to help define and amplify how our company is perceived by current and future talent. This role will sit at the intersection of Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Communications, and business leadership, owning employer brand initiatives while also creating compelling content that showcases our mission, people, culture, and technical achievements.

The ideal candidate combines strong program management skills with hands-on storytelling ability. This person will help strengthen the candidate experience, build scalable employer brand programs, support recruiting priorities, and develop high-quality content across social, digital, and event channels. They should be comfortable partnering with engineers, recruiters, executives, and functional leaders to translate complex aerospace work into authentic, engaging, and compliant messaging.

 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and evolve Stratolaunch’s employer brand strategy in alignment with business growth, hiring priorities, and brand standards
  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Communications, and business leaders to develop employer brand campaigns that support recruiting goals
  • Assess and improve the end-to-end candidate experience across major touchpoints including job ads, career site, social channels, recruiting events, recruiter messaging, and interview experience
  • Create, write, and edit compelling content including social posts, captions, employee spotlights, leadership features, recruiting campaign copy, event promotion, and candidate-facing messaging
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to capture and communicate company milestones, technical breakthroughs, program achievements, workforce stories, and cultural moments leveraging our Intranet and other communication channels
  • Support executive and leader visibility efforts by helping shape external-facing content for conferences, panels, events, and thought leadership opportunities
  • Partner with designers, photographers, videographers, and outside vendors as needed to produce visual assets that strengthen storytelling and audience engagement
  • Support recruiting event strategy and execution, including hiring events, university outreach, military and veteran initiatives, and experiential talent campaigns
  • Develop tools, templates, and enablement resources that help recruiters and hiring managers communicate a consistent and compelling employer value proposition
  • Monitor brand and campaign performance metrics and provide recommendations to improve engagement, reach, candidate conversion, and overall hiring impact
  • Ensure content and messaging align with internal brand standards and applicable compliance requirements, including sensitivity to ITAR, export control, proprietary information, and customer considerations
  • Manage the Stratolaunch branding guidelines and content
  • Manage the company store, merchandise selection, and orders to support events like tradeshows and recruiting

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong understanding of employer branding, recruiting marketing, social media strategy, and content development
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical subject matter into accessible, compelling content
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience building programs or processes from the ground up with a high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with recruiters, engineers, executives, and communications partners
  • Strong judgment and professionalism in handling sensitive or technical information
  • Comfortable using performance metrics to evaluate campaigns and guide content strategy
  • Ability to balance creativity with structure, process, and business objectives

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Human Resources, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in employer branding, recruiting marketing, social media, communications, content strategy, or related work
  • Experience developing content for brand, recruiting, executive, or corporate social channels required
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, engineering, hardware, or other highly technical industries strongly preferred
  • Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition teams and understanding recruiting workflows strongly preferred
  • Experience with visual storytelling, photography, videography, or creative asset development is a plus
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, employer review/job platforms, content planning tools, and analytics/reporting tools preferred
  • Familiarity with compliance considerations relevant to aerospace/defense environments is a plus

 

Special remarks regarding work environment, if applicable

  • This position is located in either Mojave, CA or Washington, DC
  • Frequent travel required to Washington D.C., Mojave Spaceport, and other domestic locations

Base salary and leveling are established on a case-by-case basis. We consider several factors to ensure a competitive offer, including your location, educational background, and a comprehensive assessment of the skills and experience demonstrated during your interviews.

Mojave Air & Spaceport is located just outside of Lancaster/Palmdale and is only 95 miles north of Los Angeles.  The area offers both affordability and central access to a variety of California's best attractions and landmarks.  

Not much for the outdoors and prefer the city life? You’re within a half day’s drive or less of Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, and San Francisco where you can find a variety of live entertainment, museums, tours, and historical sight-seeing. Theme parks are in abundance, with Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disneyland, and Knotts Berry Farm ready to meet the needs of rollercoaster thrill seekers. 

Food and drink fanatics are in a haven of delectable choices. Wine aficionados will also find easy access to some of the state’s best vino in Paso Robles, Santa Ynez, and even more locally in Tehachapi and Agua Dulce. Beer fanatics will find some of the best West Coast IPAs at Bravery and Lucky Luke’s in Lancaster. Any food option you crave is covered, and we always recommend the authentic and fresh Mexican food that you won’t find anywhere else in the United States.
