What You’ll Do
Strive’s Medical Assistants (MAs) play a critical role in delivering high-quality, compassionate kidney . In this position, you will perform a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks to assist our patients through telehealth-based workflows. This remote role ensures patients receive timely, efficient, and coordinated services across the care continuum. As a key member of the Intensive Case Management (ICM) team, you will contribute directly to closing care gaps, improving patient engagement, and supporting overall quality performance outcomes while reporting directly to the manager of the ICM Team.
The Day to Day
Technical & System Proficiency
- Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Navigate care management platforms, telehealth tools, and clinical documentation workflows.
- Retrieve, review, and document medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Regulatory & Quality Understanding
- Apply working knowledge of HEDIS, NCQA standards, and health plan compliance.
- Support the closure of care gaps through patient scheduling, documentation, and outreach.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold patient confidentiality in all communications.
Communication & Patient Engagement
- Conduct telephonic outreach using scripts for screenings, appointments, and education.
- Clearly communicate benefits, services, and care management program details to patients.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams and external stakeholders.
Administrative & Coordination Skills
- Perform pre-visit and prepare relevant documentation ahead of initial assessments.
- Document patient-reported information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Schedule follow-up visits and coordinate referrals as directed by clinical staff.
- Manage high-volume tasks with strong attention to detail and time efficiency.

- Maintain a proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years combined of related education, experience, or certification.
Graduate from a medical assistant program such as Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health - Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Medical
Assistant Program, OR Graduate of a formal medical assistant program. - Current BLS or CPR Certification required.
- Efficient and reliable transportation, including an active driver’s license, allowing f or the ability to travel across an assigned region to meet patient needs. Locations may include offices, clinics, and patient homes.
- Provides in-person patient care which may include standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, and lif ting.
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and problem solve.
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- Highly collaborative, with experience working on multidisciplinary teams.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Hourly Range: $22.25-$25.00
