Position Summary:
The Senior Revenue Manager will oversee all revenue-cycle activities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliant revenue recognition, strong balance sheet controls, and effective collections oversight. PLEASE NOTE: This role is based out of our downtown Chicago office and follows a hybrid work model, combining in-office collaboration with the flexibility to work remotely part of the week.
Key Responsibilities:

- Interpret and apply ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, ensuring all revenue transactions are recorded accurately and consistently, aligned with performance obligations, contract modifications, and variable consideration rules.
- Perform and oversee reconciliations of all revenue-related balance sheet accounts, such as deferred revenue, accounts receivable aging, accrued revenue, allowance for doubtful accounts (AFDA), unbilled receivables, and other non-standard receivables; investigate discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with internal and external billing teams to regularly assess and report on collections performance, identify overdue accounts, and implement escalation paths for aged receivables or disputed balances.
- Design, document, and implement a collections policy that standardizes follow-up cadence, defines responsibility by function or team, and ensures alignment with broader revenue and cash flow targets.
- Build and maintain productive, process-driven relationships with partner billing contacts, ensuring consistent application of invoicing procedures, proper timing of accruals, and resolution of billing exceptions.
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation for billing and revenue recognition workflows; drive process improvements that enhance accuracy, accountability, and scalability as the business grows.
- Partner with the Data Analytics team to understand data architecture and system integrations between the CRM and ERP platforms (e.g., PensionPro and Sage); proactively identify and troubleshoot issues that impact billing completeness or timing.
- Support external audits and internal compliance activities by preparing revenue schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and maintaining organized documentation that supports management’s assertions over revenue recognition and related financial controls.
- Collaborate with FP&A to develop, refine, and validate revenue forecasts and budget assumptions.
- Other duties as assigned.
