Position Summary:
We are seeking a Security Analyst to join our growing IT and security team. This role will support day-to-day security operations across a rapidly expanding organization and its partner companies. The Security Analyst will work closely with a small, highly collaborative team to monitor, investigate, and respond to security events, with a primary focus on endpoint, server, and email security.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is based in our Riverwoods, IL and/or downtown Chicago offices and follows a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days of in-office work expected per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts, with a primary focus on CrowdStrike.
- Triage high-priority and urgent security events and determine appropriate next steps.
- Support security operations across:
- End-user devices and servers
- Email security platforms
- Partner networks and integrated systems
- Review security events aggregated through a managed security platform (e.g., ReliaQuest or similar).
- Coordinate with managed service providers (MSPs) and external security partners to investigate and resolve incidents.
- Clearly document security incidents, findings, actions taken, and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding security events and remediation efforts.
- Contribute to weekly reporting and participate in bi-weekly check-ins.
- Work collaboratively with the broader IT team to support ongoing security initiatives and organizational growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in a Security Analyst or related role.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, preferably CrowdStrike (enterprise environment).
- Experience working with managed security providers or SIEM/SOC platforms (e.g., ReliaQuest, Arctic Wolf, or similar).
- Familiarity with email security solutions and best practices.
- Strong understanding of general IT and security fundamentals, including endpoints, servers, and networks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to clearly document and explain security incidents to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting security in a multi-tenant or partner-based environment.
- Familiarity with Cisco Meraki or similar networking platforms.
- Experience working in a small or lean IT/security team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Transparency Statement:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $65,000-$75,000 annually.
At Strongpoint Partners, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
