Retirement Plan Administrator, (SI Group)

Position Summary:
SI Group, a Strongpoint Partner, is seeking a skilled and client-service focused Mid-Level or Senior Retirement Plan Administrator. As a member of the Client Services Team, the Retirement Plan Administrator has a diverse knowledge of plan design, compliance, and client relations. This position will perform all levels of testing and provide guidance to team members and clients.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates local to Honolulu who can work an in-person or hybrid schedule are strongly preferred; however, a remote arrangement may be considered for the right candidate, (Mountain & Pacific time zones ONLY). Candidates being considered in a remote capacity must be willing to work HST/PST hours, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and perform A-Z administration (plan design, compliance testing, client service, etc.) of a simple to mid-level complex caseload and sensitive client cases.
Serve as a guide to other plan administrators in supporting client requirements.
Initiate and participate in process improvements.
Complete leadership and/or project management courses.
Provide strategic guidance and assist in defining strategic goals.
Efficiently utilize technology to perform the duties of this position.
Attend staff meetings and trainings as requested.
Maintain team approach by assisting in areas appropriate for this position.
Own stewardship of all assigned business relationships.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
QKA or similar industry certification.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, (or equivalent).
3-5+ years of retirement plan experience with defined contribution plans.
3-5+ years of client services experience.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM software; experience with ASC and/or FT Williams preferred.
Must be organized and detail-oriented.
Exceptional approach to client service focusing on communications, timely solutions, and client needs.
Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to act with integrity, be proactive with client needs, seek to continuously improve service, constantly focus on professional growth and work collaboratively with the entire team.

Position Summary
ARPS is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Loans & Distributions Specialist to support the administration of qualified retirement plans. This role is responsible for coordinating participant loan and distribution activity, ensuring timely and accurate processing while maintaining compliance with ERISA and plan regulations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience processing retirement plan loans and distributions across multiple recordkeepers and brokerage platforms and will be comfortable managing requests from initiation through completion. Experience with plan terminations, automatic rollovers, and participant communications is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and process participant distributions and loan requests for qualified retirement plans accurately and efficiently
Communicate with plan sponsors, participants, recordkeepers, and internal teams regarding loan and distribution activity
Review loan applications and prepare promissory notes and amortization schedules
Track loan and distribution requests from initiation through completion
Maintain accurate documentation and transaction records while ensuring compliance with plan provisions and regulatory requirements
Assist with plan termination distributions and automatic rollover processes
Work across multiple retirement plan recordkeepers and brokerage platforms to facilitate processing and resolve issues
Support internal teams with participant and operational inquiries related to loans and distributions
Ensure all processing adheres to ERISA guidelines and retirement plan regulations
Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
Qualifications
Proven experience processing loans and distributions for qualified retirement plans
Strong understanding of ERISA rules and regulations related to retirement plan loans and distributions
Familiarity with multiple retirement plan recordkeepers and their loan/distribution procedures
Experience with plan terminations and automatic rollover processes preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft 365
Familiarity with Ft. William Plan Documents and Compliance Systems is a plus, but not required
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate basic math calculations
Excellent organizational and documentation management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a deadline-driven environment
PLEASE NOTE
Candidates with prior retirement industry experience and direct exposure to qualified plan loan and distribution processing will be strongly preferred. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, organization, and responsiveness in a fast-paced client service environment.
