Based in New Orleans, Louisiana, Retirement Strategies Group (RSG) is a TPA that provides 401(k) plan administration and recordkeeping services to small- and mid-sized businesses. Position Summary:

Retirement Strategies Group (RSG), a Strongpoint Partner, is looking for a Retirement Onboarding Operations Associate to support the successful setup and onboarding of new retirement plans and plan conversions into our standardized operating model. This is an entry-level role that plays an important part in ensuring new clients are set up accurately and efficiently so their plans can be serviced smoothly from day one.

In this role, you’ll help enter and organize client and plan data, configure plans within internal systems, and work with both internal teams and clients to gather information and resolve questions. The position combines detailed data work with communication and coordination, making it a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a career in operations or financial services.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is an in-person opportunity based out of the RSG office in New Orleans, LA; fully in-person work will be required for ~6 months with potential to shift to a hybrid schedule after training is complete. RSG operates on a “flex schedule” model which allows employees some flexibility regarding their specific work hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the onboarding and setup of new retirement plans and the conversion of existing plans into our systems
  • Enter and verify client and plan information in internal systems to ensure data is accurate and complete
  • Configure plan details within internal workflow platforms based on client documentation and requirements
  • Communicate with clients to request missing information, clarify details, and resolve discrepancies
  • Work closely with internal teams such as sales, operations, and client service to support a smooth onboarding process
  • Track onboarding progress and follow up on outstanding items to help keep implementations on schedule
  • Review documentation to ensure plan setup aligns with client needs and internal standards
  • Flag potential issues or inconsistencies and work with the team to resolve them
  • Help maintain organized records and documentation related to onboarding activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, financial services, benefits administration, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately across multiple systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients
  • Comfortable working in a process-driven environment with structured workflows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and experience working with internal systems or workflow platforms
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with retirement plans, benefits administration, or financial services
  • Familiarity with client onboarding, plan conversions, or system implementation processes
  • Experience in a professional services or operations support environment
