Success Academy is seeking a highly motivated Salesforce Senior Business Analyst to lead the discovery, design, and delivery of Salesforce solutions that support marketing, lead management, enrollment, family engagement, and other mission-critical business processes. This role will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to identify opportunities, define requirements, and deliver scalable solutions that improve user experiences and business outcomes.

Position Summary

The Salesforce Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in driving the strategy, optimization, and delivery of Salesforce solutions that support marketing, lead capture, enrollment, and constituent engagement initiatives. This role is responsible for managing the full software development lifecycle, including backlog prioritization, requirements gathering and documentation, solution design, testing, release management, and ongoing production support for systems that enable prospect acquisition, nurturing, conversion, and enrollment.

Acting as a strategic partner between Marketing, Enrollment, Family Engagement, and Technology teams, the Salesforce Senior Business Analyst will translate business objectives into scalable Salesforce capabilities that improve lead generation, campaign effectiveness, conversion rates, and the overall user journey. The role requires strong analytical thinking, data-driven decision making, creative problem-solving, and exceptional communication skills to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.

In addition to business analysis and solution delivery responsibilities, the Salesforce Senior Business Analyst will serve as a Salesforce platform steward, performing point-and-click administration, configuration, and optimization across Salesforce applications. This role will ensure that Salesforce capabilities effectively support lead management, marketing and recruitment campaigns, enrollment workflows, constituent engagement, reporting, and operational processes.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Marketing, Enrollment, Family Engagement, and other business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, analyze business processes, and gather requirements for Salesforce initiatives and enhancements.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and collaborate with business users, managers, and technical teams to define project scope, establish priorities, and manage product and feature backlogs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframes, and other documentation necessary to support solution design and development.
  • Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data quality, and enhance the constituent experience across the lead-to-enrollment lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and Solution Architects to design, configure, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions, including point-and-click administration, automation, reporting, dashboards, and user experience enhancements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Salesforce capabilities and best practices, providing recommendations that balance business value, user needs, scalability, and system maintainability.
  • Lead and support quality assurance activities, including test planning, test case development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and validation of delivered solutions against business requirements.
  • Develop training materials, facilitate user training sessions, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful adoption of new processes, features, and technologies.
  • Monitor system performance, gather user feedback, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across Salesforce and related business applications.
  • Manage small to mid-sized projects from initiation through deployment, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, tracking risks and dependencies, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Partner with leadership to leverage data, reporting, and analytics to measure business outcomes, optimize marketing and enrollment performance, and support strategic decision-making.

Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Agentforce, Data 360, Einstein and related ecosystem applications. Ability to evaluate the impact of business requirements across Salesforce and connected upstream and downstream systems, integrations, processes, and data flows.
  • Strong business analysis expertise with demonstrated experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements. Proven ability to translate complex business needs into scalable, user-centered technical solutions.
  • Experience analyzing and optimizing business processes, particularly those related to customer engagement, lead management, enrollment, service delivery, or constituent lifecycle management.
  • Strong documentation skills, including experience creating business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, workflow diagrams, and training materials.
  • Knowledge of data management principles, including data migration, data quality, data governance, reporting, and analytics within Salesforce environments.
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery teams, including backlog management, sprint planning, requirements refinement, testing, and release activities. Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

Required Experience

  • 4+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting CRM platforms, enterprise applications, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in a business-to-consumer (B2C) environment, supporting marketing, lead generation, enrollment, customer acquisition, service, or engagement processes for external audiences such as families, customers, or constituents.
  • Proven track record leveraging CRM platforms and digital experiences to improve lead conversion, engagement, retention, and overall user experience.
  • Experience partnering with Product, Design, Marketing, or User Experience teams to optimize customer journeys, improve conversion rates, and increase adoption of consumer-facing products and services.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, including experience participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, requirements grooming, and iterative software delivery.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, or other relevant Salesforce credentials.
  • Experience in K-12 education, higher education, admissions, enrollment, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations is a plus.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. This position is not bonus eligible.

Compensation Range

$115,000 - $130,000 USD
