Robotics Lab Technician supporting Nvidia

Santa Clara, CA

Sustainable Talent is partnering with NVIDIA, a global leader that has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for over 25 years. We are looking for a Robotics Lab Technician to support our client’s lab operations team. This is a full-time (W-2) contract role based onsite in Santa Clara, CA. We offer competitive pay of $30/hr - $45/hr based on factors like experience, education, location, etc., and provide full benefits, PTO, and an amazing company culture!

In this role you will build, deploy, and support the hardware systems that engineers rely on every day, from bench-top development platforms to large server racks in the data center. You’ll also bring ideas to life by designing and fabricating custom test fixtures and prototype components with CAD and 3D printing. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with some of the most innovative technology in the world and help shape the labs where next-generation robotics and datacenter products are developed. Join us in revolutionizing the world of AI!

What You’ll Do:

  • Assemble, build, and install bench-top development platforms and large server systems in the bench lab and rack lab.
  • Deploy systems and racks in the data center, connect power and network, and bring them up.
  • Support parts replacement projects for small and large volume deployments.
  • Prepare boards for detailed solder reworks to be completed by another lab.
  • Connect oscilloscope probes to boards and collect signal waveform data.
  • Perform mechanical reworks using power tools such as a Dremel.
  • Design and produce CAD models and detailed drawings for custom test fixtures, and integrate designs into lab systems.
  • Support the development, modification, and refinement of prototype components and fixtures, incorporating feedback from engineers and technicians.
  • Use 3D printing and other rapid prototyping methods to fabricate, adjust, and assemble CAD-designed parts.
  • Run laboratory tests on prototypes and make modifications to improve functionality and performance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, OnShape, or Fusion 360 (Creo preferred but not required).
  • Experience with prototyping, 3D printing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
  • Familiarity with electrical wiring and basic system integration is a plus.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on lab environment alongside cross-functional engineering teams.
