Sales Director, Brands & Agencies

Swayable is a fast-growing, cloud analytics product that measures public opinion and the impact of messages and advertising content on it. It is a 30-person team backed by top technology and social impact investors, including Y Combinator. Founded in 2018 by two physics PhDs, it is led by the former Executive Director for Digital Strategy at the New York Times. Clients include major consumer-facing brands (Amazon, Airbnb, Square, Paramount Pictures), technology companies (Meta, Google), researchers (MIT, Yale, Stanford) and mission-aligned advocacy campaigns (including multiple Democratic Presidential candidates).

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Evangelize and articulate the unique value proposition of the Swayable platform to direct brands, creative agencies, and media buying/planning agencies
• Strategize and generate revenue from agencies and account assignments through sales calls and sales presentations
• Develop account strategies to secure long-term media and platform relationships, develop requests for proposal responses, while delivering against client business needs & objectives
• Grow and cultivate deep relationships at all levels within assigned accounts, demonstrating a thorough understanding of account's organization, needs and revenue potential
• Meet and exceed quarterly/annual sales goals
• Use CRM consistently to record sales activity, deal pipeline and forecast revenue accurately
• Proactively provide client insights, industry specific information and become the go-to subject matter expert in the creative and copy testing research space

REQUIREMENTS
• BA/BS or College Degree Preferred
• 2-3+ years of experience in consumer research or sales relating in some way to advertising or data
• Demonstrated track record of delivering against quota and excelling in a highly competitive market
• Exceptional communication, presentation and relationship building skills
• Excellent knowledge of marketing and research industry trends, technology platforms and pricing models
• Ability to think strategically, strong understanding of traditional and contemporary sales dynamics, tactics and strategies
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Hubspot and Salesforce.com or equivalent)
• Ability to work autonomously - stay organized and show/track progress weekly to management
• Ability to work remotely - flexible to work hours that spack time zones to support clients and internal meetings

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Startup experience a strong plus
• Experience in selling market research tools, advertising and/or data is ideal
• Existing and current relationships with key decision makers at all levels of influence within Fortune 500 brands and/or top marketing agencies in New York, LA, and/or Chicago
• Active in industry trade and networking events
• Consumer Brand/Agency experience a plus

LOCATION: New York City
In-person workspace available. Occasional presence (e.g. once per week) expected, but remote work supported. Other locations may be considered.

Base salary range $130-170K, depending on location and experience.
