
Senior Scientific Computing Software Developer
About the Team:
The Sensors Division specializes in the development of advanced sensor systems, with a particular focus on airborne and surface-based radar, space-based sensing, electronic warfare, and underwater acoustics. This position is within the Space Missions and Sensing (SMS) Sector of the Sensors Division. In this sector, we develop and deliver technology to advance space-based sensing, space control, and counter-sensing missions.
The Role:
The SMS Sector is seeking a Senior Scientific Computing Software Developer to leverage their CUDA expertise in a dynamic Research & Development environment. In this role, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to the design and development of a cutting-edge space-based radar system. Your responsibilities will include implementing real-time signal processing solutions using CUDA/C++. What you will do:
- Support development of innovative radar systems through implementation of digital signal processing (DSP)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and/or develop system requirements and specifications
- Design and implement signal processing software solutions in CUDA/C++
- Conduct performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing to validate and optimize system performance
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to convey technical concepts and project updates
- Prepare documentation, design specifications, test plans, and reports
Who you are:
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S Government
- Demonstrated experience implementing real-time signal processing solutions in CUDA/C++
- Working knowledge of digital signal processing
- Experience in preparing and delivering briefings, familiarity with the execution of technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMS)
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of applicable experience; Master’s degree and at least 3 years of applicable experience; or PhD. Equivalent experience will be considered
Even Better:
- Active security clearance at the Secret or Top Secret level
- Applicable understanding of and experience with Radar systems and their principles of design, development, requirements verification, test planning, test execution, and data analysis
- Experience with algorithm implementation in software for real-time systems, especially radar and/or remote sensing
- Experience with MATLAB
- Capable of working in a team environment and interacting with team members to ensure effective communication and alignment
