Job Overview:
This position will play a key role in managing the financial reporting process across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting audit functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and reconciliations, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies across assigned accounts.
- Complete intercompany reconciliations for multiple subsidiaries.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger and addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Manage and complete the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes for multiple subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
- Analyze income statements and balance sheets to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Support external and internal audits by providing timely and accurate information.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting procedures.
- Cash Management Function: Daily Cash Report to Management and maintain daily cash sweep to maximize interest earning.
- Reconcile Amazon Seller Central settlement statements and research integration errors.
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain audit ready workbook and record depreciation entries for Product and Software Capitalization and PPE assets.
- Manage lease accounting lifecycle under ASC 842, including maintaining ROU asset and liability schedules and ensuring accurate monthly amortization and interest entries.
- Administer derivative and hedge accounting to ensure compliance with ASC 815.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5-7 years of general ledger accounting experience
- Netsuite experience is required.
- Experience with Amazon Seller Central preferred.
- Experience with managing subscription revenue via Stripe preferred.
- Someone who is driven, detail oriented, good at following instruction but also willing to look at other ways to improve, tech savvy, open to learning and collaboration.
- Overtime might be required during month end and special projects.
