At Tactile Medical, we specialize in developing at-home therapy devices to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and respiratory illnesses.

Position Summary
The Data Analyst II will discover valuable information in large data sets and help Tactile Medical make smarter decisions to deliver better products and optimize operations. We are looking for a motivated Data Analyst to deliver clear insights to the operations and development teams and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to use mathematical and statistical expertise and will have a natural curiosity to gain knowledge through the independent creation of thoughtful analyses tied to company goals. The candidate must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and distribute data reporting tools for manufacturing, supply chain, shipping, and product development.
• Work with the Operations, Digital Solutions, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
• Fill knowledge gaps through creative application of data resulting in clear and reliable data reporting
• Design and maintain models, metrics, reports, and dashboards that help stakeholders better understand the business trends.
• Collaborate across multiple teams to understand business needs and analyze complex data while communicating recommendations.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data from medical devices, ERP systems, and cloud platforms to uncover trends and opportunities.
• Develop requirements, processes, and documentation for reporting on data-related projects
• Embrace working toward the end goal of helping others live a better quality of life
• Support day to day business needs surrounding system and data related tasks
• Contribute to publication-grade data analysis using datasets provided by the Digital Solutions team, supporting research and thought leadership initiatives.
• Support IoT-related use cases by evaluating device usage data and informing quality metrics

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics or in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, with a focus on Data Analytics
• Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, and/or a quantitative field
• Working knowledge of various analytic methods (i.e. data analysis, statistics, operations research and/or machine learning) with application to business problems

Knowledge & Skills:
• Excellent communication, analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills in applying analytical methods to real world problems with measurable outcomes
• Engage in statistical and exploratory analysis of datasets from medical device data
• Experience in setting analytics frameworks or strategies for complex scenarios
• Play a role in defining, monitoring, and reporting on key product performance metrics
• Experience in an ERP systems collecting data
• Experience in R, Python, or similar scripting language
• Experience with data visualization and presentation tools, such as Power BI
• Demonstrable record of accomplishment dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in an agile, dynamic regulated environment

Below is the starting salary or hourly range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.

US Pay Range

$61,500 - $86,205 USD
