 The position reports to the Head of Brand of Mr D

Purpose of the role:
A detail-oriented Copywriter to join the internal creative studio of a leading on-demand delivery brand. To assist in crafting high-quality, engaging copy for a wide range of projects across the company’s dynamic brand ecosystem, which spans restaurants, groceries, retailers, and more. Working closely with the Senior Copywriter and the broader creative team, play a key role in delivering work that inspires, informs, and connects with millions of customers while adhering to the brand’s tone of voice and communication style.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Translating creative/marketing briefs into effective copy across all touch points. Must be able to take a marketing brief, from ATL campaigns to CRM initiatives, and work with the team to craft compelling copy that brings the idea to life across all of Mr D's touch points

  • Writing, editing & proof-reading copy and planning content themes for Mr D marketing campaigns and acting as copy counsel for all marketing initiatives (including sales, promotions, social media content, app push notifications etc.)

  • Writing, editing & proof-reading copy for all ad hoc business requests for Mr D customer communications

  • Brainstorming and executing content marketing ideas to support Marketing & Brand campaigns and collaborating with designers & Creative Lead to provide on-brand copy for artwork and relevant content ideas 

  • Owning and updating the copy & content on all Marketing-owned areas of the Mr D website (including FAQs, Terms & Conditions etc.)

  • Supporting the Senior Copywriter and Content Strategist to make sure on-site, in-app and digital copy works effectively for search engine optimization and conversion purpose

  • Researching your subject matter to ensure the quality and accuracy of your copy, with the objective of always adding value to the Mr D customer experience

    Content Creation

    • Write engaging, on-brand copy for channels including social media, in-app content, email campaigns, website pages, blogs, and advertising.
    • Develop concise and user-friendly microcopy for apps and customer interactions that drive usability and brand loyalty.

    Team Collaboration

    • Partner with designers, marketers, and product stakeholders to deliver cohesive creative projects.
    • Contribute to brainstorming and creative ideation sessions to generate concepts and campaign ideas.

    Brand Voice Consistency

    • Maintain the brand’s tone of voice across all written outputs.
    • Ensure that all copy aligns with brand values and communicates effectively with target audiences in various product categories (restaurants, groceries, and retail).

    Editing & Proofreading

    • Edit and refine content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand standards.
    • Support the Senior Copywriter in maintaining quality control over written materials.

        Ad-Hoc Task Management

           • Assist with ad-hoc copy needs for campaign launches, product updates, and other creative studio requirements.
           • Take feedback constructively and refine work with a proactive and solutions-based mindset.

Attributes required:  

  • A strong knowledge of social media platforms and engagement strategies
  • An ability to translate a marketing brief into effective copy across multiple touchpoints in a way that resonates with customers
  • Capability to present ideas succinctly, in writing and verbally
  • Conceptualize and implement content strategies
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and efficient with an ability to work towards and meet tight deadlines
  • Outstanding editing and copy writing skills
  • Ability to lead and adapt
  • Detail-oriented
  • Willingness to adopt AI tools

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism or Communications
  • 4+ years experience in a copy writing, creative director, or a content strategist role
  • PR and media related experience is preferable
