This role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring two days of in-office collaboration per week. The position can be based in either our San Francisco office or our new New York City office.

About the Team: 

The Commercial Analytics team sits within the Marketplace Operations team and operates as the analytics partners across all the Commercial organization. Commercial Analytics exists to transform complex data and problems into clear, human, actionable intelligence that drives confident decision-making across Taskrabbit. Commercial Analytics partners with domain experts to generate proactive insights and use advanced analytics techniques to drive operational improvements and product-led decisions. We bring clarity in measurement, analysis, and execution to achieve Taskrabbit objectives.

 

About the Role

The Lead Data Analyst will lead all Supply-related Analytics priorities within our Tasker Operations vertical – acting as a subject matter expert and the primary analytical architect for Tasker growth, activation, and retention. You will solve high-level, often ambiguous challenges foundational to our supply dynamics. You will move beyond answering "what happened" to drive the "so what," acting as a critical link between Product, Operations, and Senior Leadership. Your work will directly support company OKRs, such as attracting top supply talent and preventing fulfillment crises before they impact customers.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Build and implement supply defining analytical frameworks, such as Tasker acquisition, churn, and LTV, Tasker High Quality rate, Tasker Registration Funnel and measuring supply health across our operating metros
  • Own the end-to-end data model build and analysis of the Tasker journey, from registration funnel bottlenecks to helping Taskers reach their Nth tasks through data-driven analyses and partnering with the TaskerOps team
  • Drive direct revenue growth and increased Tasker fulfillment through rigorous data analysis, root cause analysis, and the design of targeted operational tests to improve fulfillment ratio
  • Lead cross-functional projects with Product, Engineering, and Operations to influence roadmaps and launch product tests that improve platform health.
  • Serve as a lead storyteller for the supply side of the business, translating technical jargon and complex data into actionable visualizations for Director+ groups
  • Partner with Data Engineering to define requirements for data pipelining and tracking that support supply-side initiatives, moving logic closer to base tables to ensure consistent, reliable metrics
  • Lead quarterly planning and work prioritization within Tasker Ops through detailed stakeholder feedback, and translation of effort-to-impact, and data storytelling to prioritize revenue driving initiatives
  • Operate as a Lead Analyst for the Commercial Analytics team, providing technical coaching, endorsing data best practices, and bring operational excellence to the team

 

You Should Have:

  • A BS/MS in economics, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent analytical experience
  • 6-10 years using analytics to drive key business decisions across strategy, marketing, operations, and/or finance
  • Experience building data visualizations to inform business decisions (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Sigma, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills and experience presenting to Directors+ and in larger company settings
  • 6-8 years experience with SQL (windowing functions, CTEs, cross joins), with experience building base data models
  • Great attention to detail and quality and experience translating technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • A knack for working with cross-functional partners to reach the right solutions 
  • An ownership mindset determined to get things done

 

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience with Python, pandas, and data science packages
  • Experience presenting analyses and recommendations to C-level executives
  • Proficient in statistical techniques and concepts (regression, power analysis, clustering, etc.)
  • Technical understanding of data warehousing/data pipelining solutions and experience with tools like Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake
  • Experience managing business intelligence dashboarding solutions
  • Experience owning cross-functional data projects from end-to-end
  • Experience operating analytics for a two-sided marketplace and a global brand
  • Love collaborating together with a tight-knit team

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent, and equitable. Total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.

The base pay range for this position is $127,000 - 170,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
