Senior Product Manager - Investments

Chicago, Illinois

Company Name: IG US Holdings, Inc.
Role: Senior Product Manager - Investments
Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid (3 days/week in office)

Our Product Team manages the portfolio of features and enhancements that power tastytrade, guiding each initiative from initial concept through discovery, build, deployment, and continuous improvement. We're expanding the team to match the ambition of what we're building, and we're hiring a Senior Product Manager to own our investing experience.

tastytrade is one of the best active trading platforms in the market. The medium and long-term investing experience is largely unbuilt - this is a rare 0-to-1 opportunity at a platform with real scale. As tastytrade deepens its investing vision (model portfolios, automated investing, and sophisticated portfolio construction tools), this role will help define what that means for the customer experience, end to end. You'll develop deep subject matter expertise in equity markets and investment products and play a pivotal role in shaping a product that doesn't fully exist yet.

You'll report into the Head of Product and own tastytrade's investing experience end-to-end – stock and ETF discovery, order entry, position management, portfolio tracking tools. Your charter is to give tastytrade's existing traders a reason to invest on the same platform they already trade on, while laying the foundation for the longer-horizon investor tastytrade doesn't yet fully serve.

What You’ll Do:

Own the investment experience end-to-end and take tastytrade beyond the trade

  • Own the medium and long-term investing experience while laying the product foundation for portfolio construction, and automated investing.

Drive measurable business outcomes

  • Grow the business of investing within the tastytrade ecosystem.
  • Define strategy, metrics, and business cases that grow equities trading volume, deepen investor retention, and build AUM.

Navigate complexity across markets and stakeholders

  • Own the product decisions that sit at the intersection of trading infrastructure, regulatory requirements, and evolving investment models.
  • As tastytrade explores portfolio advisory capabilities, you'll help define what those mean for the customer experience, working closely with legal, compliance, and operations to translate regulatory milestones into product opportunities.
  • You'll communicate confidently with executive stakeholders while translating between technical and business perspectives, and manage cross-functional dependencies with the options, futures, and core platform teams.

Grow and develop the investor customer base

  • Partner with marketing and content teams to identify opportunities to bring new traders and investors into equities, particularly through fractional shares, thematic investing, and curated entry points designed for newer investors, and design the onboarding, education, and activation flows that get them to their first successful trade or investment.

Who You Are:

5+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success leading complex product initiatives, managing stakeholder relationships, and delivering products that drove significant business outcomes and revenue growth

Strong technical and commercial acumen

  • You can define comprehensive non-functional requirements around latency, data fidelity, and market hours handling, and work in lockstep with engineering while building business cases and tracking financial metrics tied to product performance

Mastery of advanced PM methods

  • Expert with prototyping, A/B testing, advanced analytics, and roadmapping platforms, with experience leveraging AI and machine learning to optimize product capabilities

Exceptional communication and leadership skills

  • Able to tailor messaging to diverse stakeholders from engineers to executives, with experience mentoring junior product managers and establishing scalable ways of working across teams
  • Passion for empowering individual investors and traders, and for improving the investing experience through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making

Strongly Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in fintech, retail brokerage, or an adjacent regulated industry is strongly preferred; direct experience building or using equities trading or investment platforms is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with the brokerage regulatory landscape, including relevant SEC and FINRA rules, fiduciary standards, and the considerations around advisory vs. execution-only models, will be particularly valuable as tastytrade grows its investment capabilities.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
