Product Design Intern

San Francisco, California, United States

Tatari is on a mission to revolutionize TV advertising. Founded in 2016 to help transform the antiquated world of TV advertising through the intelligent application of AI and machine learning, Tatari helps some of the world’s fastest growing brands including Chime, Calm, Tecovas, Manscaped, Saatva, and Liquid I.V., reach their customers using linear and streaming TV ads. Our platform combines sophisticated media buying with proprietary analytics to turn TV advertising into an automated, digital-like experience, enabling businesses of any size to advertise on TV.

That approach has earned Tatari broad industry recognition, including being named Best CTV AdTech Platform in the 8th annual MarTech Breakthrough Awards, as well as honors from Digiday (Best Connected TV Platform), AdExchanger (Most Innovative TV Advertising Technology), and Business Insider (Hottest AdTech Companies). Tatari has also been recognized as the Best Place to Work by Inc. Magazine. Backed by an executive team of former founders and senior leaders from companies including Shazam, TrueCar, AdapTV, LiveRail, Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Yahoo, Tatari continues to scale rapidly as TV advertising enters its next major era.

Tatari is looking for a Product Design Intern to join us for the summer of 2026. In this role, you'll work across two focus areas: conducting competitive analysis to research and synthesize how competitor products approach key UX patterns, and partnering with the design team to audit, refine, and document components in the Tatari Design System. It's a hands-on opportunity to contribute meaningful work while growing your craft alongside an experienced team.

Why you should apply:

Empower growth marketers at small and medium-sized businesses to harness TV advertising. Join us in building intuitive user experiences across our self-serve platform and professional tools while getting hands-on experience with real, complex product challenges.

  • You lead with empathy — for users, teammates, and stakeholders alike.
  • You're eager to learn by doing and excited to contribute to work that ships.
  • You want to grow your craft alongside experienced designers and leave a visible mark on our design system.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct competitive analysis by researching and synthesizing how competitor products approach key UX patterns, presenting findings that inform design decisions and keep the team sharp on industry trends.
  • Partner with the design team to audit, refine, and document components in the Tatari Design System, ensuring consistency and usability across the product.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, and mockups to communicate ideas at the right level of fidelity.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers throughout the design process.
  • Participate in critiques, brainstorms, and design thinking exercises.

Who you are:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in UX, product design, HCI, or a related field. You are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and will return after the summer internship.
  • Familiar with Figma and comfortable using it to explore and communicate ideas.
  • Detail-oriented with a developing sense of visual hierarchy and layout.
  • A strong communicator who welcomes feedback and asks good questions.
  • Genuinely curious about users and motivated to understand their needs.
  • Comfortable using AI tools and leveraging them to accelerate research, synthesize information, and explore ideas faster — and curious about how AI is shaping the future of product design.
  • This summer internship is located in New York City. Interns are responsible for securing and covering their own housing and living expenses. Tatari will arrange and cover round-trip travel to and from New York, if applicable.

Application Requirements:

  • A portfolio or 1–2 case studies showcasing your design thinking and process — student or personal projects are welcome.
  • A resume that speaks to the skills above.

Benefits + Perks:

  • Competitive salary ($20.00 - $30.00 hourly)
  • Hybrid schedule: 2-3 days per week
  • Snacks, drinks, and catered lunches at the office
  • Team building events
  • Laptop and peripherals provided

At Tatari, we believe in the importance of cultivating teams with diverse backgrounds and offering equal opportunities to all. We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every team member feels valued and diversity is celebrated.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
