ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re hiring a Senior Paid Search Manager to own performance and outcomes across paid search. This is a high-accountability role for a self-starter who thrives with autonomy. You’ll be given clear business targets (qualified leads, pipeline, revenue, CAC) and expected to define the strategy, build the roadmap, execute, iterate, and scale without hand-holding.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll work cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative/CRO, Analytics, RevOps, and Sales to ensure paid search drives measurable pipeline and revenue growth.

We’re all about collaboration and innovation — this role is 100% on-site in Irvine, CA. If you’re competitive, data-driven, and motivated by business outcomes over platform metrics, you’ll thrive here.

HOW YOU’LL BE REWARDED

At TaxRise, we value ownership, performance, and measurable impact. You’ll have clear goals, real autonomy, and the opportunity to build systems that scale revenue.

  • Base salary: $95,000 - 120,000 annually
  • Performance-based incentives tied to revenue and efficiency targets

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own aggressive growth targets for qualified leads, pipeline, and revenue while maintaining CAC/CPA efficiency
  • Build and execute the paid search roadmap end-to-end:
    • Account strategy and structure
    • Match type and negative strategy
    • Bidding and budget allocation
    • Audience layering and segmentation
    • Ad creative (RSAs) and landing page alignment
    • Measurement and attribution integrity
  • Operate Google Ads and Microsoft Ads accounts with a performance-first mindset, including query mining, feed-based scaling (where relevant), and quality score improvements
  • Run a structured weekly experimentation program across:
    • Ad copy and creative
    • Landing pages and CRO hypotheses
    • Bidding strategies
    • Audience overlays
    • Segmentation and incrementality tests
  • Diagnose performance issues quickly by isolating root causes (tracking, auction shifts, creative fatigue, LP conversion, lead quality) and deploy solutions rapidly
  • Partner with Sales and RevOps to improve lead quality, optimize conversion-to-opportunity rates, reduce junk leads, and refine qualification signals
  • Forecast and pace budgets with discipline, including scenario planning and clear recommendations for marginal investment returns
  • Own measurement integrity across platforms: conversion tracking, attribution alignment, offline conversion imports (where applicable), and ongoing data QA
  • Communicate clearly and concisely on performance: what happened, why it happened, and what we’re doing next — always tied to business impact

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

  • 5–8+ years of hands-on paid search experience with meaningful budget responsibility
  • Proven track record of improving CPA/CAC, conversion rates, and volume while maintaining or increasing lead and pipeline quality
  • Deep expertise in account structure, match types, negative strategy, bidding frameworks, audience layering, ad testing, and scaling methodologies
  • Strong analytical ability with the ability to quickly interpret performance drivers and translate insights into action
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creative/CRO, analytics, and sales teams to improve full-funnel outcomes
  • Comfort operating autonomously with high accountability and outcome ownership
  • Working knowledge of GA4, GTM, and attribution concepts, with the ability to QA tracking and reason through data

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience optimizing toward offline outcomes (SQLs, opportunities, revenue) through CRM integrations and offline conversion imports
  • Experience in competitive, regulated, or high-intent verticals such as finance, insurance, legal, or healthcare
  • Strong landing page and CRO fluency, with the ability to influence conversion improvements
  • Experience in high-growth, performance-driven marketing environments

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
