Merchandising Intern - Internal Opportunity

Tecovas is looking for a Product Merchandising intern to support the men’s apparel category to assist with all major milestones within the C2C (concept to consumer) process. Reporting directly to the Senior Merchandising Manager, Mens, you will learn the ins and outs of the product life cycle, how to create a line plan that supports the department’s strategy, and the importance of merchandising within an organization. Additionally, you will develop your business acumen skills and ability to pose solutions to challenge with the support of data to gain stakeholder buy in. 

What you’ll do:

  • Make linesheet updates to ensure all linesheets are accurate and up to date for all cross functional partners
  • Maintain accuracy of cross-functional files such as product detail sheets to increase efficiency and reduce spin
  • Recap weekly sales to monitor sales, returns, product reviews, etc  to help the merchandising team make business decisions
  • Perform hindsight analysis and trend and competitive research
  • Complete and present a final internship project that applies your learnings from your internship and provides value to the company

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university
  • Majoring in Business or Liberal Arts preferred; all relevant majors will be considered
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Driven with an eye for trends

  • Able to find creative solutions to daily problems
  • Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
