About The Role…

The Controller delivers a high quality and timely financial close, ensures transactions and reports are completed accurately and in compliance with GAAP, safeguards assets, assesses people and system needs, and partners with colleagues to manage the business and drive insights from past performance. The Controller maintains policies & procedures and ensures an appropriate internal control environment exists at all times. The Controller builds relationships with business stakeholders while overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Payroll, and Accounts Payable. The Controller is an experienced leader who inspires a dedicated team of accountants with vision and direction that supports the company’s mission and strategy. The Controller is a team-player and coach with strong fundamental skills and an ability to take the business to a higher level. This role is integral to TeleTracking’s success.

What You’ll Do…

Leadership

  • Creates an inspiring vision for the team.
  • Drives speed, accuracy, and optimization with processes & tools to ensure there is time for supporting value creation.
  • Serves as a liaison for the annual financial audits for both the parent corporation and foreign subsidiary.

Financial reporting / General Ledger / Transactions

  • Leads and facilitates the monthly close process, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP.
  • Directs international consolidation, working alongside third party who supports with various accounting transactions & compliance.
  • Manages all intercompany transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Directs the preparation of financial statements including reporting for the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
  • Analyzes monthly cost center profit & loss statements.
  • Reviews and prepares general ledger account reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Oversees the accounting, policy, and process management surrounding the Internal Use Software Capitalization process and Deferred Implementation and Training.
  • Researches technical accounting questions and works with external advisors and others throughout the organization to adopt necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  • Owns the chart of accounts and mapping structure within NetSuite.

Payroll / 401(k)

  • Reviews bi-weekly payrolls prior to submission to ensure quality & accuracy.
  • Works with ADP and internal team members to drive efficiencies with tools & processes.
  • Supports the annual filing of the benefit plan 5500's and other 401(k) administration related matters which includes working closely with third party fiduciary and auditors, as well as internal stakeholders.

 Accounts Payable / Treasury

  • Enforces proper authorization, adherence to policies and procedures, and accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Approves weekly vendor payments and assists with payment processing within Treasury platforms.
  • Assists with treasury-related tasks such as wire transfers and foreign currency exchange transactions.

Other

  • Understands how finance supports the business and advises to enable desired business outcomes.
  • Implements changes and fosters innovation for improving cross functional operating processes.
  • Leads special projects in Finance and other operational areas to drive efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Identifies and oversees ERP system changes that require cross-functional coordination. o Documents, maintains and communicates changes to accounting policies, procedures and controls.
  • Ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Researches and drives process improvements to align with best practices.
  • Various ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned.

What We Look For…

  • 10+ years of experience in progressive finance roles. Required 5+ years of leading a high-performing finance team with the ability to drive and support change and transformation.
  • Preferred Strong knowledge of revenue accounting standards (ASC 606).
  • Required Experience in a software and services company (SaaS and healthcare industry a plus).
  • Must have the highest levels of integrity, ethics, and values.
  • Detail-oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to grasp the tactical details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven business partnering skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and work cross functionally.
  • Possesses a process improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other complex formulas
  • Proficient with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred but not required).

Education

  • Bachelors Finance and Accounting (Required) 
  • Preferred Masters Finance and Accounting (Preferred)

License or Certifications

  • Preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
