Account Executive, Commercial
Our fast moving and highly successful Commercial Sales team is growing, and we are seeking the next Account Executive to join our team! Temporal is a remote first company, however this role is focused on New York or San Francisco candidates that can be a part of our WeWork community in the area.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commercial Account Executive to join the growing Temporal team. This role will become a main point of contact for Temporal commercial customers by leveraging your technical, sales and account management skills to help grow usage and discover new use cases across your book of business.
What You'll Do
- Activate and implement new logo accounts and get them up and running on the platform
- Identify activation and expansion opportunities within your customer base
- Be responsible for the success of a broad book of business
- Create and grow relationships with our champions
- Drive consistent activity, pipeline development and quota attainment
- Partner with product marketing to deliver proper messaging and content to commercial Temporal Cloud customers
- Design and execute programs to support the identification, design and productionization of new use cases with your customers
- Identify ICP accounts and pursue the right opportunities in the right accounts to drive ARR growth
- Work closely with our Start Up Program team and Self Sign Up team to ensure success for the right new logo prospects
What You'll Bring
- Individuals in this role have a passion for technology and the ambition to dive head-first into new challenges
- 3+ years experience working in a Sales, Customer Success, Account Management, Sales/Business Development
- A background and passion for advocating on behalf of your customers
- A mind for technology - we’ll teach you about Temporal and databases, but our customers and product are inherently technical and you should have an aptitude and curiosity to learn about those concepts
- The ability to act with a high level of autonomy, you will be expected to take full ownership of your customer portfolio and make key decisions to drive effective customer outcomes
- An entrepreneurial mindset - this is a new role at Temporal where you will be required to both deviate from established procedure and often build entirely new process or practices to ensure we best serve this customer segment
- Team player and passion for collaboration
- Prior experience to tooling like Salesforce, Slack, Outreach, Gong, Common Room
- Prior exposure to database, cloud, and infrastructure technology is a plus
Compensation
- The estimated pay range for this role is $210,000 OTE, 50/50 Split
- This role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan
