Your Role:

As a Sr. Software Engineer in Test, you will ensure the quality of Tenable’s solutions by combining automated and manual testing strategies. You will design tools and frameworks to verify performance and resiliency, while leading deep-dive exploratory testing. Additionally, you will own the maintenance of test infrastructure and deliver actionable insights through detailed reporting


Your Opportunity:

• Proficient in the Tenable product portfolio, and is an expert in testing methodologies to verify functionality, operability and performance of Tenable’s solutions
• Expertly leads particular areas in the design and development of test automation frameworks and/or the design and development of automated tests using the frameworks for end to end solution acceptance
• Assess the effectiveness of quality initiatives (e.g. automation, manual tests, bug bounties, etc) and lead change improvements
• Drives the manual, exploratory and performance testing efforts to help identify areas of risk that may not be automated yet
• Obsessed with quality of products
• Eager to learn
• Should lead/drive testing initiatives with minimum guidance
• May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time

What You'll Need:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or a directly related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of testing experience in both manual testing practices and test automation development
• Possess enterprise product testing experience
• Must have a strong initiative and the ability to work both in a self-directed manner and as part of a team
• A passion for breaking things
• Mentor SET and other engineers on the team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• At least some exposure to a full software development life cycle (SDLC): requirements analysis, design, estimation, development, quality control and unit testing
• Experience with Cypress.
• Experience building automated test suites for SaaS products using Node.js, Python, or similar, and has a solid grasp of SQL.
 

And Ideally:

• Working in a cloud infrastructure security-oriented company 

• Working on applications running on cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure, GCP.
