We are hiring a VP, Freelancer Community to lead with strategy, care, and action. This is a high-impact role focused on the health, growth, and experience of our global network. You’ll shape how we attract, engage, and support the crowd, while ensuring their voice is represented across the company. This role requires someone hands-on who can lead across functions, set vision, and scale systems. But equally important, someone who stays close to the work, listens to people, and understands what great execution looks like.
Why will you love this job?
- You believe that the crowd economy can be a force for good if done right.
- You understand the balance between business needs and human care.
- You will manage complexity, scale systems, and still hold space for individual voices.
- You will lead through data, empathy, and action, building something that empowers people, not just platforms.
Why will you love being a part of Testlio?

- Remote Work: Our culture is built around remote work. We’ve created systems to allow us to successfully work together asynchronously as a fully remote and globally distributed team. Testlio provides the tools and guidance for everyone to succeed in their careers in a fully remote setting. Our working style encourages everyone to make decisions, communicate effectively, and work at a sustainable pace.
- Investment in You: Your growth and well-being matter to us. You’ll have flexible paid time off—including national holidays, personal days, and sick days—plus stock options so you can grow with Testlio. We also provide a $300 annual learning stipend to support your personal and professional development.
- Winning Business: Testlio is growing, profitable, and cash-strong. We are leading our industry with exceptional clients who provide us with a high NPS score and a 4.7 rating on G2. Our business model is global, enterprise, and subscription-based. Several of our largest clients have been with us for 7+ years, and many spend $500K+/year with Testlio.
What would your day look like?
- Lead the strategy, operations, and experience of Testlio’s global network of over 60k freelancers.
- Build and manage a small but mighty team who are responsible for onboarding, recruiting, quality & compliance, and engagement roles — to support the crowd across their entire journey.
- Drive the growth of the network in alignment with client demand and delivery forecasts.
- Oversee onboarding and vetting programs to ensure the crowd is activated efficiently and meets Testlio’s quality standards.
- Partner with Finance and Delivery to help shape fair, transparent, and scalable compensation systems for the crowd.
- Create systems that help forecast, plan, and optimize crowd availability and readiness for client needs.
- Work closely with Delivery, Product, Finance & Ops, People & Culture, and Marketing teams to align crowd programs with company priorities.
- Partner with Product to improve crowd-facing platform experiences.
- Analyze data to understand performance, satisfaction, and retention across the network and take action on what you learn.
- Strengthen communication with the crowd, ensuring they’re informed, heard, and engaged.
- Support community-led initiatives, recognition programs, and moments that help our crowd feel connected to the mission.
- Be a collaborative partner across the company, aligning crowd initiatives with client, product, and brand goals.
- Foster a culture of experimentation, inclusion, and adaptability within the crowd team — be ready to try things, learn fast, and iterate.
