Job Title: MEP Construction Project Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations - Projects
Job Description:
At Texas Chiller Systems (TCS), as a Project Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for both customers and internal personnel for large-scale projects. You will take full ownership of these projects from initial turnover, execution, & closeout. Your role will involve coordinating resources, managing project schedules, overseeing on-site activities, and ensuring that every project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking control of resource coordination, you balance costs and efficiency to keep projects on track and within budget. Your decisions directly influence the smooth operation of every project
- Crafting and managing project schedules becomes second nature, with every task aligned under your direction to ensure deadlines are consistently met. The project timeline is your responsibility.
- Leading post-project evaluations allows you to personally ensure the quality of service delivered meets the high standards set by your leadership.
- Setting the pace and driving the team forward are key aspects of your role, creating the momentum that propels the entire team to success.
- Close collaboration with the Customer Service team ensures labor is scheduled efficiently, with the right people in place at the right time. Coordination and timing rest in your capable hands.
- Managing the job calendar means working seamlessly with dispatch, preventing conflicts, and ensuring operations run smoothly. The schedule is under your control.
- Supporting your team fully is critical, providing them with the resources they need to excel. Their success reflects your commitment to leadership.
- Being present on job sites reinforces your oversight of every aspect of project execution, ensuring efficiency and quality meet the standards you uphold.
- Handling complications head-on demonstrates your ability to take charge of issues that arise during installation and post-installation. Problem-solving is part of your leadership.
- Overseeing all administrative functions involves coordinating closely with the support team to ensure every detail is managed with precision. The smooth operation of the project is a direct result of your careful management.
.Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 combined practical and academic years of experience in a Mech Plumbing, or a similar construction field, with at least 1 year of it in a project manager capacity.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle challenges effectively and efficiently.
- Willingness to travel within Texas as required for project oversight.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to climb service ladders/ stairs to access Mechanical Equipment. The locations vary from basements to rooftops.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Job Type: Full-time, In-person
Schedule:
- 7:00 am-6:00 pm availability
- Monday to Friday
- May require early morning or late evenings for specific project needs.
