Dietetic Technician - GBT

Dietetic Technician
Works closely with clients, their families, and staff (registered dietitians, therapists, culinary services, and frontline team members). Acts as liaison for the registered dietitian and culinary services to support the execution of registered dietitian prescribed diet orders/meal plans. Utilizes knowledge of nutrition principals to provide basic nutrition education to clients and culinary services. Assists the registered dietitian and basic culinary support as needed.

- Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm
Compensation
- $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position
How Dietetic Technicians Empower Recovery
• Communicates all diet orders, allergies/food intolerances and dietary accommodations to the culinary team.
• Collaborates with registered dietitian(s) and culinary services to ensure all diet orders/dietary restrictions/dietary needs prescribed by the registered dietitian are accurately accommodated.
• Assists culinary team with managing dietary accommodations.
• Partners with the culinary team in executing production of individualized client trays per the tray ticket system.
• Provides active meal coaching and support for clients in Therapeutic Supported Meals as assigned.
• Plans, prepares, facilitates assigned nutrition groups and completes documentation of groups provided in the EHR.
• Assists the dietitian in completing a variety of clinical tasks such as daily weight tracking, group preparation, meal plan compliance, and meal planning.
• Supports the culinary team in maintaining the patient pantry with proper labeling of food items with allergy, dietary modification, and proper portioning language (i.e., exchanges, entrée and sides).
Qualifications
• Associate degree in Dietetic Technology or a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science or Nutrition is required (registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is not required).
• Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.
• One year of clinical or public health experience preferred.
• Previous eating disorder experience is preferred.
