Position Overview
The Therapist will provide individual, group, family and/or couples therapy and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive treatment to the client and their family.
Compensation
- $34.00 - $39.00/hr.
Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position
Schedule:
This position offers some scheduling flexibility.
- 10:00am - 7:00pm - two days a week
- 8:00am - 5:00pm - remaining days
How Therapists Empower Recovery
- Ensure the strictest adherence to professional boundaries with clients, consistently upholding ethical standards and creating a safe, respectful environment for all interactions.
- Co-Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions for clients and their support networks, as assigned, to address specific therapeutic needs.
- Oversee a caseload of clients, ensuring comprehensive delivery of both individual and family therapy according to the assigned treatment plan.
- Create, implement, and continuously monitor individualized treatment plans, ensuring they align with the client's evolving therapeutic needs and goals.
- Apply evidence-based therapeutic modalities in the treatment of clients, ensuring interventions are grounded in the latest research and best practices.
- Provide guidance and coaching during individual client and family meals when clinically indicated, promoting healthy eating behaviors, and addressing disordered eating patterns.
- Actively contribute to treatment team discussions by sharing client assessments, family dynamics, and responses to therapeutic interventions.
- Facilitate and lead treatment team meetings, driving collaborative discussions on client progress and adjustments to treatment strategies.
- Engage in multidisciplinary case conceptualization, contributing to the development of holistic and integrative treatment plans.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration within the multidisciplinary team to enhance client care and treatment outcomes.
- Perform comprehensive intake evaluations to assess new clients, gathering essential clinical information to inform treatment planning.
- Achieve clinical productivity targets in line with organizational and programmatic expectations, balancing quality care with efficiency.
- Support the therapeutic environment by assisting with milieu management as needed, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for all clients.
- Communicate effectively with the Utilization Review team to provide necessary clinical data for insurance continued stay reviews and approvals.
- Generate detailed discharge plans, making informed recommendations for continued care and coordinating transitions to the next level of care services.
- Work closely with external professionals and community agencies to ensure a seamless transition and continuity of care for client’s post-discharge.
- Participate in both administrative and clinical supervision sessions, proactively seeking guidance and feedback to enhance professional practice.
- Actively participate in self-evaluation processes, seeking constructive feedback from clients, peers, and colleagues to continuously improve therapeutic practice.
- Contribute to case consultation meetings, offering insights and receiving feedback to refine treatment approaches.
- Participate in both site-based and national Quality Assurance initiatives to uphold and improve care standards within the organization.
- Ensure all clinical records are accurate, thorough, and compliant with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Offer clinical supervision to colleagues when appropriate, depending on licensure and expertise.
- Deliver internal and external presentations, sharing knowledge and expertise on relevant clinical topics.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in eating disorder assessment and treatment by engaging in professional development opportunities, training, and academic literature review.
Qualifications - Therapist I
Education Qualifications:
- Current Provisional or Associate licensure required in the state of employment required.
- Master’s degree in a behavioral sciences field required.
Qualifications - Therapist II
Education Qualifications:
- Current independent licensure in the state of employment required.
- Master’s degree in a behavioral sciences field required.
Professional Qualifications: (Therapist I and II)
- Individual, family, or group psychotherapy experience required.
- DBT, CBT, FBT experience preferred.
- Eating Disorders treatment experience preferred
- Computer proficiency required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Other Qualifications: (Therapist I and II)
- Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.
- Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
- Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites in North Carolina or Georgia are required to have a current CPI certification within 30 days of hire.
- Employees at Residential site in Washington are required to have a Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire.
