Leave of Absence Coordinator

Position Overview
As a Leave of Absence Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and facilitating various types of leave programs for employees within our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws, assisting employees throughout the leave process, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of leave regulations.
Schedule
- Part-time (20 hours/week), Remote

Compensation Disclosure
- Starting hourly range between $24.00-$28.00
Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position
How LOA Empower Recovery
- Coordinate and administer all aspects of employee leaves, including but not limited to medical leaves, family and medical leave, personal leaves, military leave, ADA accommodations and other types of requested time off.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and processing of leave requests, maintaining confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on federal, state, and local leave regulations, ensuring the organization's policies align with current legal requirements.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees seeking information on leave policies, procedures, and eligibility.
- Work effectively with any vendors and state programs who support various leave programs, like Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Paid Family Leave etc.
- Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and other relevant parties regarding the status of leave requests, required documentation, and return-to-work processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all leave requests, approvals, and related documentation.
- Generate and analyze reports to monitor leave usage, trends, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and integration of leave processes.
- Work closely with management to address staffing and operational challenges resulting from employee absences.
Qualifications
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required, or equivalent experience
Professional Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in leave administration, human resources, or a related field.
- Knowledge of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA, ADA, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in using HRIS and leave management systems.
