What You’ll Do
As a Litigation Assistant in our Case Management department, you will play a pivotal role in our legal team. You will directly interact with clients, ensuring empathy and support throughout their legal journey. The mission of the Case Manager team is to listen to and advocate for every single client, delivering the best legal support possible by:
- Client Support: Be the friendly face our clients rely on. You’ll listen, empathize, and provide guidance during their legal process.
- Assist with Caseload Management: You’ll help manage the caseload by tracking deadlines, ensuring timely responses, and coordinating with attorneys and other team members.
- Conduct Legal Research: Case Managers conduct extensive legal research to gather information on health insurance, social security, medical records, and other relevant data.
- Draft Legal Documents: You’ll draft legal documents such as mediation brief and bundle, discovery responses, and extending deadline stipulations, expert disclosures, expert elections, and expert compliance.
- Review Documents for Compliance: Ensuring that all legal documents adhere to strict requirements is a crucial part of your role.
- Provide Client Updates: You’ll keep clients informed about the progress of their cases, answering their queries, and providing reassurance.
- Gather Medical and Bill Records: You’ll have to check in with the client regarding treatment and gather that information.

- Office Environment: Case Managers typically work onsite. Hybrid Schedule
- Team Collaboration: You’ll work closely with attorneys and other colleagues across departments. Effective communication, sharing insights, and collaborating on complex cases are essential.
- High-Volume Task Management: Juggling multiple cases simultaneously requires excellent organizational skills. Prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining quality are crucial.
- Time Management: Efficiently allocating time to each case ensures productivity. Balancing urgency with thoroughness is vital.
- Team Meetings: Regular team meetings keep everyone informed, aligned, and up to date. Staying current with changes and updates is essential.
- Case Review: Periodically assessing case phases ensures they remain on track. Adjustments, if needed, contribute to successful outcomes.
- Metrics Goals: Monthly performance metrics guide your progress. Meeting targets reflects your impact on client satisfaction and team success.
What You’ll Need
- Case Management or Coordination: While not a strict requirement, a background in case management or any form of coordination role is highly preferred.
- Customer Service Experience: since this is a client-facing role, experience in customer service is needed.
- Communication Skills: Communicating effectively with clients, attorneys, and team members.
- Organizational Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and task flows to manage and track tasks.
- Empathy: Ability to understand and share the feelings of others, particularly when dealing with clients’ cases.
- Attention to Detail: You excel at delivering error-free reports within tight deadlines.
