Why We Need You
The Coordinator, Centers for Public Science Learning provides critical administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the Centers’ initiatives. This role helps organize team meetings, track key projects and products, support Board committee operations, and contribute to effective internal and external communication efforts. Through logistical coordination and content support, the Coordinator plays an integral part in ensuring the success and impact of the Centers’ programs. This role also includes evening and weekend commitments to support engagement efforts.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Coordination and Meeting Support:
- Organize and facilitate team meetings, including managing logistics, taking notes, tracking action items, and sending follow-ups.
- Ensure smooth coordination of meetings across departments and stakeholders but does not manage personal calendars or reimbursements.
- Portfolio and Data Management:
- Track and maintain a portfolio of projects and products for all Centers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Conduct Salesforce data entry and maintain organized records of engagements and outreach.
- Board Committee Operations Support:
- Assist with the logistics and operations of three Board Committees, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Communication and Content Creation:
- Develop communication instruments, including slides, reports, and internal/external communications.
- Coordinate and contribute to the production of newsletters.
- Operational and Event Logistics:
- Support Centers activities on select evenings and weekends, working one weekend day per month and three weekday evenings per month.
This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 onsite days per week.
What We’re Looking For (Competencies)
- Highly Organized: Strong ability to manage logistics, track details, and keep multiple projects moving forward.
- Effective Communicator: Capable of developing clear and compelling reports, presentations, and written communications.
- Data and Systems Proficiency: Comfortable with data entry and tracking in systems like Polaris and Salesforce.
- Detail-Oriented and Process-Driven: Ability to ensure accuracy in documentation and follow-through on key action items.
- Collaborative and Action-Oriented: Works well with teams and proactively seeks solutions to challenges.
- Flexible and Adaptable: Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to support key initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a Science background, and/or an enthusiasm in Science.

Salary Range
$39,000 - $49,000 USD
