Manager, Growth Media (Temporary)

About the Role
The Manager of Marketing & Media Strategy oversees digital media strategy and tactical plans for subscription driving programs across The New York Times suite of products targeted outside of the US. You will manage end-to-end strategy planning, coordination, and reporting of these campaigns. You will be the primary liaison between paid media and other partner teams (Marketing, Product, Data Analytics and Creative.
Together, the acquisition team works on projects in service of enterprise subscription growth. You will report to the Manager, Growth Media Strategy.
This temporary role will be based at our headquarters in New York, NY and is a hybrid role with a requirement of 3 days in the office weekly.
Responsibilities:
- You will lead the end-to-end planning our multi-channel paid media international strategies for all products, from audience strategy, to level of investment, to channel mix.
- You will collaborate with the Growth Marketing team to deliver campaigns against enterprise growth targets.
- You will consult internal creative teams on channel best practices and historical creative insights to help inform the creative development process.
- You will manage relationships with 3rd party teams (i.e. platforms, agency partners) to ensure launch and optimization of acquisition campaigns through demonstrated expertise in media management and analytics.
- You will analyze performance trends on an ongoing basis and benchmark across key metrics (i.e. CVR, CPA) to advise on impactful optimizations and strategic shifts to improve performance on an ongoing basis.
- You wlll operate as the voice of Paid Media as it relates to main subscription-focused campaigns, building trust across all Growth partner teams.
- You will oversee end-to-end reporting and insights deliverable for the international programs, presenting insights and next steps to leadership teams and you value new challenges and are not deterred by complex situations
- You will maintain testing prioritization roadmaps, outlining key learnings, wins, and losses to account for in future sales and continue cultivating 'test-and-learn' ethos.
- Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience managing digital media, specifically in building multi-channel and cross-channel strategies
- 2+ years experience performance marketing
- 2+ years experience analyzing data and turning data into insights, and insights into actions to assist partners with strategy
- 5+ years experience in partner management skills
- 5+ years experience in campaign execution

The annual base pay range for this role is between:
$100,000 - $113,000 USD
