Youtube Channel Strategy Manager

We are seeking a motivated, forward thinking Youtube Channel Strategy Manager to join our UK team on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.

The role serves as the dedicated manager for a roster of YouTube channel partners. The ideal candidate is relationship driven, both creative and analytical and comfortable working proactively and autonomously.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for artists, labels, and Relationship Managers across an assigned roster of priority channels.
  • Maintain consistent and effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
  • Execute strategic post launch initiatives across marketing, optimization, and growth activities to maximize reach, retention, revenue, and overall client satisfaction within a high touch service model.
  • Provide ongoing, hands on support including programming, optimization, analysis, reporting, content strategy, marketing support, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver exceptional service for MCN clients and internal teams (Relationship Managers, Rights Management, Operations, and others) to ensure video related issues are resolved quickly and accurately.
  • Conduct detailed channel and video audits with actionable recommendations and implementation plans.
  • Track, analyze, and report on channel and category performance using metrics such as CPM, viewership trends, and audience demographics.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Marketing, and Audience Development to leverage YouTube for key campaigns and to develop platform specific initiatives for priority artists and labels.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Director of Channel Strategy to communicate partner issues and roadblocks and ensure seamless post launch account management.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records across internal systems, YouTube CMS, and YouTube.com.
  • Provide best practice guidance and tailored strategic recommendations to assigned clients.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell Channel Strategy services.

Who you are:

  • Minimum 3 years of digital video experience, including at least 2 years managing, programming, and optimizing YouTube channels 
  • Deep understanding of the digital ecosystem and the ability to leverage platforms such as user generated content and social media to achieve goals.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at every level, from C suite executives to interns.
  • Technically savvy, comfortable with data, and proficient in YouTube CMS, Microsoft applications, Google Workspace, and Apple applications.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and After Effects.
  • Strong passion for and knowledge of music.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including outside of standard office hours when needed.
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder with a positive and collaborative approach.
  • Creative, proactive, and able to contribute ideas and take initiative.
  • Skilled presenter with strong problem solving abilities.
  • Highly organized and capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
  • Adaptable to evolving workloads and comfortable working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and clients.
