Backend Developer
We are seeking a talented and experienced Backend Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will architect, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems that power our mobile and web applications. You’ll work closely with our internal and overseas teams to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components while delivering high-performance solutions that enhance user experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and enhance our C# backend infrastructure that supports mobile applications (iOS and Android) and web platforms
- Develop and maintain RESTful API endpoint to support client applications and third-party integrations
- Implement and maintain database solutions using PostgreSQL
- Work closely with front-end developers, system architect, and other stakeholders to define system requirements and ensure efficient data flow
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to our team's technical knowledge growth
- Optimize application performance and scalability, addressing complex business challenges with innovative, data-driven solutions
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in backend development, databases, and cloud services to ensure cutting-edge implementations
- Complete other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5+ years of experience
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET framework with experience building production-level applications inNET
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Hangfire for background job processing and scheduling
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and development
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with testing frameworks (Unit, Integration, End-to-End)
- Proficiency with version control systems, such as Git.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Collaboration will primarily happen in the morning hours (before 11am EST) to align with team schedules.
PREFERENCES

- Experience with observability platforms (e.g., NewRelic)
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Understanding of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
- Experience with machine learning and Large Language Models a plus
- Lived experience as a peer in recovery
- Desire to apply anti-racism and anti-oppression principles and practices
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- $101,500.00 - $111,300.00 annually
- 403(b) retirement plan with 4% match
