The Director of FP&A and Transformation will report directly to the VP of FP&A. This role is the analytics leader within the team, providing clear insights on our Supply Chain and Commercial performance. The role owns core transformation projects including automation, AI deployment and, where relevant, M&A. This is a hybrid position based out of our NYC HQ office; we currently have a 2-3 days per week in office requirement.
Main Responsibilities:
Analytics & Reporting
• Deliver clear, actionable insights on Supply Chain and Commercial monthly performance, suitable for presentation at leadership level
• Elevate the analytical capability of the entire Finance team, embedding insights into current reporting and analysis as well as building out scalable, self-serve reporting using our existing toolset
• Review actual monthly results versus forecast and support the team to understand key drivers of the results, building ad hoc analyses as required
• Review budget and forecast submissions for Supply Chain and Commercial and ensure changes are understood and can be summarized concisely
Transformation & Project Delivery
• Lead and drive core transformation projects for FP&A and Finance, including process redesign, systems implementations or upgrades, and automation or AI initiatives; where relevant, support activities related to M&A
• Work cross-functionally to support wider business initiatives from a finance standpoint, including business case models and analysis, margin improvement initiatives, and process enhancement and streamlining
Business Partnering & Communication
• Serve as a clear, trusted communicator across Finance and the business, translating complex analysis into concise, decision-ready insights and ensuring the level of detail is suitable to the audience
• Partner closely with the Operations and Commercial teams to understand performance and deliver clear analysis across the P&L, from Net Sales to Gross Profit
• Lead communication between Finance and IT to ensure projects are prioritized and executed effectively
• Act as mentor and sounding board to the FP&A and Finance teams, building a culture of engagement and supporting the team to collectively be solution-oriented
Qualifications:
• Years of Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Finance, or Accounting, including prior people management
Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Key Skills & Abilities
• Exceptional analytical horsepower, able to work fluidly across large, complex, and imperfect datasets, structure ambiguous problems, and turn data into a clear point of view
• Strong storytelling and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to distill complex financial and operational concepts into simple, compelling messages for leadership
• Highly comfortable owning both routine and ad hoc reporting, balancing recurring deliverables with the agility to answer new questions quickly and accurately
• Strong command of COGS, gross margin, and revenue drivers, with the ability to trace the supply chain end to end and connect operational decisions to financial outcomes
• Advanced financial modeling skills, with strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity
• Demonstrated track record of leading finance transformation or process-improvement projects end to end, with strong project-management discipline
• Fluency with analytics and BI tools (e.g., Power BI), with a passion for turning data into insight and building scalable, self-serve reporting
• Comfort leading systems implementations or upgrades and automation or AI initiatives within Finance
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
• Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team
Preferred Experience:
• CPG or Beverage Industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience with SAP and TM1 a plus
This is a reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
US Pay Range
$160,000 - $190,000 USD
