Job brief:

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Sr. Manager, Cyber Security to lead initiatives that safeguard our organization’s digital assets and ensure alignment with evolving security standards and business goals. This high-impact role will partner with IT and business leaders to implement secure practices across cloud, AI, and on-premise environments while driving a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and risk awareness.

As a senior leader, you’ll provide expert guidance on security exceptions, lead policy adoption, and support business continuity and audit functions. You’ll also play a key role in identifying process enhancements, fostering collaboration, and influencing how security is approached across the enterprise.

The impact you'll make:

  • Develop ongoing initiatives and collaborate across the IT Service Delivery Teams to ensure compliance with established information security guidelines, standards, and policies.
  • Lead engagement with IT & Business teams to drive adoption of Information Security policies and toolsets.
  • Consult with business operational leads on security exceptions and risk acceptance actions.
  • Minimize vulnerabilities across cloud, AI, and on-prem landscapes.
  • Actively participate and support the corporate BCP and audit function.
  • Apply and deploy multiple approaches to remove organizational impediments (e.g., cultural barriers, logistic challenges, mindset shifts, etc.)
  • Facilitate communication, cooperation, and collaboration across the organization, including continuous feedback loops.
  • Challenge current processes, identifying current opportunities for process improvement, efficiency/effectiveness, and consistency to drive continuous improvement in results.
  • Collaborate on selecting, monitoring, and reporting specific security metrics to oversight committees and working groups as appropriate and required.
  • Contribute to the creation, implementation, and modification of information security policies and procedures.
  • Actively monitor industry trends; participate in industry forums, professional associations, conferences, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you've accomplished:

  • 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity and/or Technology, with at least 3 years in a leadership role directing both employees and contractors.
  • 4+ years of experience with process manufacturing industry, regulatory, and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrated curiosity through the ability to apply knowledge to novel scenarios and learn new skillsets.
  • Strong knowledge of the following:
    • Cyber threats and vulnerabilities
    • Operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses
    • Cloud security risk and controls
    • Firewalls/Routers/Switches
    • Web proxies
    • Identity and access management systems
    • Multi-factor authentication
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in a simplified way.
  • Excellent presentation and collaboration skills to build credibility, influence action, and foster strong partnerships across multiple functions and levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously to successfully manage in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience communicating and removing impediments at both the team level and organizational level, fostering collaboration across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience creating scaling mechanisms to deliver value to internal and external customers.
  • Solid business and financial acumen to recommend sound business and budgeting decisions.
  • Professional security certification(s) such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is a plus
  • Familiarity or experience applying the methods of Lean and Six Sigma is a plus
