SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Marketing Intern will work across Business Development, Design, Account and Strategy to help support the Think True brand. This hourly position will interact directly with all departments and report to our Sr. Account Director located in Los Angeles.

This individual will act as a project manager and brand champion to help support the Think True team in delivering day-to-day execution of our Marketing Plan. Areas of support will include copywriting, social strategy, content management, presentation building, internal communication, and general brand support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marketing, excellent copywriting skills, an eye for design, an eagerness to learn, and a curious mind to think, test, and learn new practices to help grow our brand presence.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

SOCIAL

  • Prepare assets needed to publish content across Think True’s social channels, including Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Engage with our online community via our brand accounts to create a two-way relationship with our followers.
  • Ensure all communication is written in the Think True brand voice (e.g. Direct messages, Instagram Stories, comments, etc.), adapting to new language if agency positioning changes or evolves.
  • Provide strategic input when creating and maintaining the brand's Social Editorial Calendar.
  • Act as the point-of-contact for internal social requests, understanding the need and working with creative talent to create and publish relevant posts.
  • Research and provide a POV on tracking social analytics and SEO ranking and report on this data to other stakeholders (Leadership, etc).
  • Stay in the know on digital and social trends and share insights and findings with the team to keep Think True on the cusp of marketing tactics.

CONTENT MANAGEMENT

  • Collect content (photo, video, design + strategy process, etc) for case studies and facilitate creation of pages within the capabilities deck and website.
  • Work with Account and Strategy Leads to ensure we are collecting assets of our work from each event and archiving this work efficiently.
  • Support content capture plans and shot lists for events as needed with internal team and videography/photography vendors.
  • Ensure our website is kept up to date with relevant information and projects that position us in the best light.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Support New Business team with incoming requests from prospective clients:
    • Build out capabilities presentations with the support of Design and Strategy to deliver on new business needs for prospective clients
    • Assist with RFIs and RFPs by gathering information and drafting basic content to support the team in positioning Think True for new business opportunities
    • Provide input on Thought Leadership and Speaking opportunities for Think True to expand awareness and positive sentiment for the agency.

BRAND MARKETING

  • Support Award and Industry submissions, presenting the work in a way that is strategic, thoughtful, and compelling. Identify new opportunities for Think True to showcase its work or gain notoriety.
  • Identify opportunities for internal teams to contribute thought leadership articles.
  • Stay relevant on trends and practices amongst our competitors to provide input for strategic growth in the agency landscape.
  • Work with the Marketing committee to bring in new ideas that position Think True to gain exposure via earned media, specifically on our established social media channels.
  • Assist as internal brand manager, leading the team on all brand deliverables (i.e. website, social channels, hiring brand, etc.) functioning in a collaborative and project management capacity.

  • Maintain a pulse on trends across technology, sport, music, entertainment, community culture, lifestyle, and entrepreneurship.
  • Bring culturally relevant insights to the table that influence creative and strategic thinking, making activations timely and impactful.

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • In pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree or above
  • Attained Associate’s Degree
  • Previous agency experience or internship preferred

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a productive environment as a hands-on team player who can also operate independently
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Must be highly organized and have a high level of attention to detail
  • Professional personality that interacts well with all levels of agency

OTHER QUALITIES AND SKILLS

  • You must thrive in a high-pressure, constantly changing, fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and tight timelines
  • Comfortable with PowerPoint and highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Interest in / knowledge of design programs (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and positive attitude.
  • Los Angeles area preferred with willingness to work a hybrid schedule (1-2 days in office per week) and travel up to 25% of the time.

 

Compensation Range: $25 per hour. This is the pay range Think True believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on level of experience, relevant skills, professional certifications, market pay, and demand for the role. Think True reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
