About the Team

The Partnership Operations team, part of the Business Development Group, drives Thumbtack's growth by supporting new ventures and partnerships teams. We manage the day-to-day operations of the partnership program, identify ways to scale as the number of partnership programs grow, and provide operations support for new initiatives with partners. We collaborate across a variety of teams--from analytics to sales operations to support!

About the Role

As a Partnership Operations Associate, you’ll join a dynamic team where your expertise will directly influence the success of strategic partnerships and new ventures. You will support partner onboarding by ensuring partners are set up properly in our systems and provide ongoing assistance to partners that have issues. You will also be responsible for implementing process improvements that will allow our systems to scale as the partnership program rapidly grows. You will act as the "human-in-the-loop" during early-stage initiatives within the new ventures and partnerships, where you will provide temporary backend support as we test new initiatives. You will play a key role in developing new processes that enable us to test ideas. 

This role will report directly to the Manager II, Commercial Strategy, and play a vital role in driving strategic growth for the team. This will be an evolving role as our partnership program is rapidly growing.

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and providing critical support for the launch and execution of strategic new initiatives.

Partner Onboarding and Maintenance:

  • Execute all steps necessary for seamless partner data integration, reporting, and payment setup.
  • Manage monthly invoicing processes and ensure accurate data entry of contract details.
  • Resolve operational and reporting issues in collaboration with the account management team.

New Project and Initiative Support:

  • Support projects by providing backend "human-in-the-loop" support, including data entry, data management, and process implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement and refine processes for new initiatives.
  • If required, address partner, customer, and pro inquiries via phone and email for specific partners or verticals.

In order to be successful, you must bring

  • At least 3+ years experience in the BPO or Shared Services industry.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to share techniques and successes with the team.
  • Ability to learn new tools and processes quickly.
  • Proven experience successfully working with cross functional teams in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex processes and implementing process improvements.
  • Past experience with Salesforce preferred.
