Acupuncturist - Culver City, CA (Part-time)

Culver City, California, United States

About Tia

Tia is building a new model for women’s healthcare, one that treats women as whole people, not separate conditions or life stages. By integrating primary care, mental health, gynecology, dermatology, and wellness across both in-person and virtual settings, Tia is improving outcomes, lowering costs, and creating a better experience for patients and providers alike.

Our interdisciplinary care model brings together evidence-based medicine and wellness services to support women throughout their lives, with a focus on compassionate, personalized, and accessible care.

About the Role

We’re looking for a thoughtful, experienced Acupuncturist to join Tia’s interdisciplinary care team and help deliver high-quality, evidence-informed wellness care to our patients.

As an Acupuncturist at Tia, you’ll provide individualized acupuncture treatments while bringing a Traditional Chinese Medicine and integrative medicine perspective to our broader care model. You’ll collaborate with primary care, gynecology, mental health, and wellness providers to support patients across a range of physical, reproductive, and emotional health needs.

This is a great opportunity for an acupuncturist who values collaborative care, is passionate about women’s health, and is excited to practice within a modern, integrated healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide high-quality, individualized acupuncture treatments, managing up to three patient sessions per hour
  • Assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans using Traditional Chinese Medicine and integrative medicine principles
  • Support patients with concerns including menstrual health, fertility, chronic pain, stress, and other common women’s health needs
  • Collaborate with Tia’s primary care, gynecology, mental health, and wellness teams to support coordinated patient care
  • Recommend appropriate complementary approaches, including lifestyle modifications, mindfulness practices, supplements, or herbal therapies within your scope of practice
  • Identify when additional clinical evaluation or referral is appropriate and coordinate with other members of the care team
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation within Tia’s electronic medical record
  • Maintain a consistent schedule and reliable patient caseload
  • Stay current on evolving research, clinical practices, and evidence related to acupuncture and integrative health

What You’ll Bring

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted acupuncture license in California
  • 2+ years of post-licensure clinical experience providing acupuncture care, ideally with experience in women’s health, reproductive health, or integrative care
  • Graduate-level training in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, such as an L.Ac., DAIM, DAOM, or equivalent credential
  • Strong knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture and related modalities such as cupping and moxibustion
  • Experience assessing patients and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Knowledge of women’s health and experience treating common gynecologic and reproductive health concerns, such as PCOS, endometriosis, irregular menstrual cycles, amenorrhea, fibroids, and fertility-related concerns
  • Understanding of clinical documentation and insurance billing requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working collaboratively across clinical disciplines
  • Ability to provide compassionate, inclusive, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care
  • Comfort using technology and learning new clinical systems

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Chinese herbal medicine, supplements, or other complementary therapies
  • Knowledge of contraindications and potential interactions between herbal therapies, supplements, and medications
  • Formal training in trauma-informed care
  • Experience caring for LGBTQIA+ patients and patients from a wide range of backgrounds and communities
  • Experience supporting patients with chronic stress, trauma, pain, or inflammatory conditions
  • Previous experience in an integrated care, healthcare technology, or startup environment
